@JoshLBarnett I dunno, Insane Championship Wrestling is pretty similar to Herb Abrams' UWF
English

No one in the West producing pro wrestling has been able to do, is doing, or really understands what "UWF" style/rules etc. actually are.
Not hate or burying anyone.
If you really want to do a TRUE UWF style show, you can't do spots, back and forths, nearly anything in a similar manned as modern pro wrestling. In fact, that would completely betray what the UWF was and was meant to be.
There isn't a large enough athlete base that can do these types of matches, refs that know the format, over even enough fans that fully understand what UWF style means. It's so removed from pro wrestling at this point that it's all Baudrillard 'Simulacra and Simulation'.
One of the simplest ways to explain this is this: Even despite particular skills and background needed, if you're not going to shoot basically 80-90% in the match, with the possibility of legit KOing your opponent and not doing a single choreographed spot ever, then you aren't doing a UWF style anything.
Bloodsport BTW was NEVER intended to be a full UWF type show and I never intended for it to be so. It's a descendant but it's own thing as well.

@VinnysCorner1 Cecil Fielder. But my favorite player was Mickey Tettleton.

@Jordan_Bianchi the Cessna 560 is not a single engine aircraft as your article on tge Biffle crash says. A 5 second Google would tell you that. #facterror

@JustinWhang People got annoyed when he kept using that long bombastic entrance after he'd become basically a jobber

Man I just didn’t remember people hating Glacier this much
GrappleClips@GrappleClips
Glacier was underrated… look at this dude go!
English

@BackupHangman OK, so I am a regular at an indie promotion he has worked nearly every show for the last 5 or 6 years (AAW). He just isn't that over despite having been pushed to the top there numerous times. He has a great look but he struggles to get people to care, to get a reaction. + or -
English

@robbietweets @JustinWhang Yeah, but at that time, Rick was the more popular one, too.

@JustinWhang Early Steiners, neither were great talkers but Rick was the more vocal one. That obviously changed over time.

@davemeltzerWON Watch the first match from GCW Homecoming last night if you haven't already

@KingRicochet For influence on the US, I'd also HM Psicosis, Juventud, and Kidman
English

@knockouthubtim @OfficialTAZ I think a combination of Lance Storm and Jake Roberts at his peak would be ideal
English

@OfficialTAZ Can we get 2 more wrestlers that should be copied?
English

So Bret Hart said recently in an interview about today’s current wrestlers…
“They’d all be a lot better off if they copied me more.”
I agree with him. From in ring psychology, pacing, intensity & safety perspective he’s 1000% correct IMO.
And it’s not just him, it’s many wrestlers from the past.
