Woke up with renewed optimism for the future. Last few performances have been very good. All but Humphreys under contract for next season. It won’t take major surgery in the summer, just adding bits of quality in key areas. Taylor & Iorpenda to come back as well. #htafc
@htafctb wouldn't keep Mumba & Gooch. Their stats must be awful. Can't cross, can't assist, can't dribble past a man and deliver a telling ball.... Harness also looks decent but delivers next to nothing as an attacking midfielder. Need to find players with consistent end product!
Cameron Ashia (new contract)

Alfie May & Joe Taylor. Our two most high profile signings over the last 12 months. Ones not at the club and the other isn’t even in the squad. Sums it all up.
That’s an awful squad. Look at that bench! Out of the 18 in the squad, 14 are defensive players.

@Lambypie_ Yes Chris. We’re just so boring to watch. I’m having second thoughts about renewing my season pass for online, god knows what fans with season tickets are thinking…..
I’d rather a town manager get sacked for being gung-ho and going all out to win games, trying to be entertaining than have one that gets sacked for playing dull, boring football like we have had. Football is so boring and conservative these days, there’s zero entertainment to the fans. #htafc
@j_krawczuk@AMCTerrier I don’t see the 3 at the back as the problem. It’s the absolutely awful wing backs. Cant cross, attack, beat a man, overlap….all things wingbacks should do consistently. Today was so frustrating
@AMCTerrier Someone who can motivate. I’d also like them to ditch this awful 3 at the back. It’s not the answer and seems to have caused us nothing but problems.
@TheTwatOfHTAFC They’re set up all wrong. The lack of any presence up front is a shambles. Playing 4 CM in the same team is a joke. We’ve got worse since Manning came in. The players have gone backwards too.
These players are fucking gash #HTAFC
My opinion has done a complete-180° from August. They are AWFUL
I feel for Manning, whether you think we set up right or not, he can't help the fact his players don't look arsed (besides Muzza) and just don't look good enough at all for us
13 mins gone. Be amazed if we get anything today with how we are setting up. No pace. No outlet. Zero up front. We haven’t strung 5-6 passes together yet. #htafc
@TerrierNigel See what you mean Nigel, but as a long term season ticket holders who turns up win or lose I object to subsidising free tickets for mates who only turn up when they can get in for nowt !
Here's an idea for Nargle and co if they're serious about going up... Get the Accu packed out & rocking for our remaining home games... put some deals on - Bring a mate for nowt, Quid a kid, etc etc. why not get it as full as possible & might sell a few more for next season too.
Looking at the summer the main priority is sorting that midfield out - It's too slow and lacks any creativity
If you sort the midfield out then the strikers will be supported properly and score goals, Joe Taylor is a perfect example of that since going to Wigan #htafc
Seen a few posts moaning about Lincoln’s style, same as after the away game.
They are way more than just long throws and set pieces (and they are the best I have seen at that btw in a long time too), they can play in midfield and have pace and trickery out wide.
@joelgraingerr Lincoln were relentless 2nd half cos Town were so submissive. Completely botched the subs again. May is hopeless upfront on his own? Where was the out ball? Wouldn’t have been well earned. Hard earned perhaps.
Basically 1 clearance away from it being a well earned 3 points, annoying.
Fair play to Lincoln, pretty relentless in their approach.
Can’t fault the application, some solid performances out there. Forced into some personnel changes which killed us towards the end.
@_Terrier_Jack Inherited the mess and has fallen into their bad habits sadly.?
Or had he resigned to clear the mess in the summer with CM 😉
My feeling the latter but in public go through the motions.!!!
Blame Manning all you want, but he can’t control players not being able to make simple passes, crosses constantly failing to find a target or get past the first man, constant poor touches and silly fouls.

@RichardKosmala And we’re talking about going Vale Park as a hard place to go. I’m still seeing team predictions with 1 upfront against bottom of the league!
The madness is everywhere Kosi!
Surreal! Town are in a play off spot.Pretty much everyone else has bombed their games in hand. In our own hands with 10 games to go but every club social media post the last 7 days has so many replies of negativity 😅 Never known a season like it! #UTFT#htafc
@joelgraingerr 1 up front? Against a team who have won 2 at home all season. Mental.
Harness at RM? Why? He can’t cross it. We need end product. Miller starts. Move Ashia to LW.
Drop Ledson or McGuane or CH and start 2 upfront.
Predicted XI vs Port Vale:
- Feeney replaces Balker in defence.
- McGuane comes into the side. Humphreys starts in the 10 (please).
- Ashia keeps his place.
BENCH: Alnwick; Whatmough, Sorensen, Miller, Evans, Alves, May
