Reed Burckhardt, Tyler, MN, in final five for Vikings GM. His dad Keith was a J.C. All-American def. end at Worthington JC & coached from 1979 at RTR High … including Reed as standout QB. Keith died in 2023.

What a day it’s been for our distance crew at the conference meet. What a performance from these two. So proud of these ladies!

The #Vikings’ list of five finalists next week is believed to be Rob Brzezinski, Terrance Gray, Reed Burckhardt, John McKay and Nolan Teasley (sources confirm CBS report). In-person interviews would take place in Minnesota.

Chatted with Mark Wilf about the Vikings’ GM search briefly yesterday in Orlando, and he did say the round of “exploratory interviews” has finished, and the search will move into in-person interviews in the coming days.

NFL ownership approved a resolution allowing the league to increase the max regular-season international games from 8 to 10, league EVP of Club Business, International and League Events Peter O’Reilly just announced.

The 2028 NFL draft is coming to Minnesota, with plans to build the event around U.S. Bank Stadium. We’ll hear more details in the coming days, but Minnesota Sports and Events says its plan is to “transform downtown Minneapolis into a multi-day celebration of football and community.”

Before their preseason home game on Aug. 22, the #Vikings will host the Ravens for two days of joint practices in Eagan on Aug. 19 and 20.

Official announcement could come Tuesday in Orlando (where @emleiker will be on the scene covering the league meeting). There’s been optimism around the Minneapolis bid for the draft; we could learn more details of the plans for the event soon.
