In today's fixture where Brentford faced Fulham, Calvin Bassey's hair was clearly tugged at yet no red card was shown. What makes it even stranger is that it was officiated by the same referee that sent Martinez off vs Leeds. Scandalous.

FA written reasons essentially confirm fourth official heard Maguire swear and context meant he felt it was at the officials. Maguire denied this. Said he swore because he was frustrated. Commission sided with fourth official. Said they would have asked for two match ban but mitigation, inc Maguire character, meant they settled on one.

Game turned on two penalty decisions, one rightly given one not. Amad was clearly fouled. VAR didn’t intervene presumably because Utd already had been given one, again entirely properly. Ridiculous
