I had the privilege of giving a talk on China’s foreign policy at @WitsUniversity in Johannesburg, South Africa. It was great to engage with African students and hear their nuanced views of China’s approach and its role on the continent. @templeunivjapan @RDandurand

As is often the case, the discussions and exchange of ideas form a big part of these events. I was impressed by the quality of questions and comments by the participants. It was also great to see growing interest in ASEAN from people who hitherto had paid limited attention to it

Was great to represent @templeunivjapan and speak on Japan's foreign and defense policies as part of the “Southeast Asia at the Heart of Indo-Pacific Strategies” program, held at @thammasat_uni in Bangkok. Thanks to CPG, @CETASE, @CERIUdeM and UdeM for organizing this great event
