What Al Jazeera omits is that this happened at a Jewish Community Centre and that the "pro-Palestine protester" is a rabid bigot named Farhood Moayed who posts about "hook-nosed demonic Jews" and who called for "death" to Germany, Taiwan, etc. Antizionism is a hate movement.
Al Jazeera Breaking News@AJENews

A pro-Palestine protester confronted Canada’s former Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland, accusing her of complicity in Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza. She was speaking at a seminar in Toronto, organised by the Canadaland podcast network.

The last few years of hate motivated shootings and fire bombings have been a very difficult time for the Jewish community but it's also been a stain on Toronto as a whole. Toronto needs a new mayor who actually gives a damn about making Toronto safe for everyone. @BradMBradford

Dear citizens of Toronto, please don’t waste your energy whining. If you really are concerned about racism in the city of Toronto, you need to consider who you vote in as mayor.

If this is what Hamas is doing to PALESTINIANS, just imagine what they did to Jewish women on October 7th
Eitan Fischberger@EFischberger

Hamas terrorists are gang-raping displaced widows in tents in Gaza. But when it gets reported up the chain, leadership orders silence. The media has largely ignored it too. The Daily Mail's @NatalieLisbona obtained video testimony from inside Gaza. A Qassam Brigades commander who a widow turned to for help instead organized her assault. When a witness found her being molested by "a bunch of Qassam members" in a tent in Deir al-Balah and reported it, he was told to keep quiet. A separate account describes Hamas's own charity organizations blackmailing women for sex in exchange for a food parcel or 100 shekels. Meanwhile the UN reports at least 400 girls aged 14-16 were registered as married over just four months in 2025 — and that's likely a fraction of the real number.

“He opposes any two-state solution that seeks to preserve a Jewish majority in Israel.” We must stop acting like this is some neutral or reasonable position. Advocating for the removal of Jewish self-governance is advocating for, at best, the subjugation of Jews as a minority in yet another Arab state, and at worst, our total destruction.
Alyssa Katz@alykatzz

Mahmoud Khalil sat down with @jdforward for an extended interview because he wanted to talk to Jews, including those who see his Free Palestine movement as an existential threat. His message, take it or leave it: "I want to liberate everyone." forward.com/news/817276/ma…

Mark Carney is seizing a costly Liberal majority that voters denied him, and doing so through backroom deals. In January, MP Gladu said that floor crossers should face voters in a byelection to give voters the final say. I could not agree more. She should do so. The people in her community voted for our Conservative vision of a Canada that is affordable, safe, and strong at home, not for the costly Liberal government she has now joined. She should honour her word and let voters decide.

This is the best part from Pierre Poilievre appearance on the Diary of a CEO podcast; "Those who push a socialist ideology have a gross contradiction in their view of human nature. They say that human beings are wretched, self-interested, greedy when they’re in the private voluntary economy, but they’re angels when they’re in the governmental economy. They argue that the government should just control everything because then we have all these angels that will decide for us." 🎯

It is absolutely disgusting that we require an increased police presence at synagogues and in Jewish neighbourhoods during Passover, because degenerate locals blame and harass Toronto Jews for some random geopolitical events halfway around the world

Toronto Police will have an increased presence in Jewish communities and places of worship for Passover, including rotating command posts. Community members are encouraged to stop by with any questions or concerns – we’re here to help.

As Jewish families gather to mark the Exodus, we remember and honour this enduring story of liberation from tyranny, and freedom for all who seek it. May this Passover bring peace, hope, and renewal to Jews in Canada and around the world.

In response to the election of Avi Lewis as the leader of the New Democratic Party (NDP), Rachel Chertkoff, Senior Vice President, Community Engagement, and Richard Marceau Senior Vice-President, Strategic Initiatives and General Counsel, Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs, issued the following statement: “Today, the New Democratic Party elected Avi Lewis as its leader. We are left with a deep sense of sadness. “Rachel’s uncle ran for a provincial arm of the NDP in 1963. He believed, as so many Canadian Jews of his generation did, that the democratic left was a natural home for a community that had faced persecution. It is hard to imagine that he would recognize the party today. "The two of us, along with other concerned Jewish and allied activists, have spent years at the table with NDP leaders, staff, and members. We engaged in good faith and made the case that protecting Jewish Canadians from hatred is not partisan, but foundational. The hope we had that these leaders could bring themselves back from the brink is now exhausted. “This weekend’s convention was a stark reminder of how far the party has drifted from its roots as the voice of Canada’s working class and trade union movement. Canadian Jews helped build that movement. Today, many are made to feel they no longer belong in it. At a time when antisemitism has reached a crisis, the NDP has become a hostile place for the vast majority of Jewish Canadians who want to fight for progressive values. 94 per centof Jewish Canadians support the existence of the State of Israel yet have been pushed out. “Avi Lewis is himself Jewish, and we respect his family’s history in this party. But Jewish identity is not a shield against accountability. When a leader declares that Zionism is inseparable from ethnic cleansing, he is not engaging in legitimate policy critique. He is telling Jewish Canadians that a core part of their identity is illegitimate. That is exclusion. “On the eve of this convention, rabbis from across our community issued a clear call. They warned that Jewish members feel increasingly alienated, that antizionism is being used as a cover for antisemitism, and that NDP spaces are becoming unsafe for Jewish and all Canadians with mainstream views. “We have said before and repeat now that criticism of Israeli government policy is legitimate. But there is a line between criticism and the systematic delegitimization of Jewish identity. That line has been crossed repeatedly. Today, it was crossed again, without ambiguity. “We will hold Avi Lewis, as we hold every public leader, accountable. “But we will not pretend today is anything other than what it is. A painful rupture, decades in the making, with dangerous implications for our community and all Canadians.” -30-

In mid-February, I joined police Chiefs from Canada and the United States, on a visit to Israel where we met police and community leaders in several cities. I spent time with police officers from Jewish, Christian, Muslim and Druze faiths representing a wide range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. I also met with Muslim community leaders who shared openly about their concerns and their reasons for working with police. These officers and community leaders operate in an environment that demands extraordinary vigilance - managing crime, counter terrorism, supporting community and crisis response all amid extreme complexity. Police to police we were able to talk about the toll this work takes on the people who do it. We talked about building trust in communities where there is little trust. We were able to get a glimpse of the undertaking required to police in complex environments. I am grateful for what I was able to learn and share with those we visited and among my North American peers. These missions offer a great deal of insight and valuable perspective. I am grateful for the continued leadership and support of the Edmonton Police Commission who have supported me in this. As police we focus on behavior, not beliefs. Where I have felt challenged this week is in the implication that any community group should have the right to direct where we can learn. I stand by my decision to take the trip to Israel and continue to view it as valuable, among multiple learning experiences I will have in this role. I remain focused on my longstanding and ongoing commitment to dialogue, learning and connection across communities and across boundaries.

The Civil Rights Movement as we know it would have died in the cradle without Jewish Americans. Fact: Jews co-founded the NAACP in 1909. Fact: Jewish money kept the lights on (sometimes over 50% of the budget). Fact: Jewish lawyers stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Black lawyers in every major case, from Brown v. Board to the Montgomery Bus Boycott. They didn’t just “help.” They bled, marched, got arrested, and wrote the checks when most white America wanted us both gone. So when I see people online spewing “Jews are the enemy,” I remember who had our back when literally nobody else did. As a Black conservative, I will NEVER forget that debt. I stand with Israel. I stand with the Jewish people. History didn’t stutter, and neither will I. 🇺🇸✡️🖤

Why it’s so important to defend the state of Israel and fight antisemitism; it’s very simple. The Jewish people are the most maligned and lied about people in the history of humanity. From Martin Luther, to the composers of the learned elders of Zion, to Hitler and the Nazis, to Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, and the Young Turks, the Jews have been blamed for everything wrong in the world with insane conspiracy theories and outright malicious lies. And we are less than a century removed from the near extinction of world Jewry at the hands of a maniacal, genocidal state that was bent on world domination with antisemitism as its core value. That’s not a conspiracy theory, it actually nearly happened. And when the world saw these atrocities and what radical antisemitism was actually capable of, it became apparent that the Jewish people needed not only their own state, but the means of which to defend itself against those malevolent elements that seek their destruction. Those forces are not only still extant, but currently hold and control great power and wealth on the world stage, and have shown they will use their resources to exterminate the Jews and the state of Israel for merely existing. But as the holocaust and World War II fade from living memory, and the lessons of history are being forgotten, antisemitism in the west is again on the rise. Why? Because it’s easy to blame a vague external force, like the Jews, for all problems with unprovable conspiracy theories. It’s the easiest thing in the world to latch onto lies and hatred if it not only fills in the gaps of why things are so bad in the world, but also personally absolves you from any personal responsibility or shortcomings in yourself for things not going your way. It’s not my fault, it’s the Jews! They did this! And in the age of social media and monetized clickbait, Jew hatred is now a lucrative business backed by those same elements that seek the destruction of the Jews. You can make a lot of money being a professional antisemite. Just sign your soul away and watch the foreign money and ad revenue pour in. So we are now in an age where the lessons of the holocaust are no longer in living memory, where antisemitism is socially and financially rewarded, and we have an entire disaffected populace ready to eat this stuff up all over again. The rise of casual antisemitism in our society coupled with world powers that still seek the destruction of the Jews, it is more important than ever to fight this evil and to stand with the state of Israel, who fights back against the enemies of the west, even while the west condemns them for it. 🇮🇱 🇮🇱🇮🇱
