@GWRHelp Hello, @mrcarl_woodward is currently delayed on one of your trains – is there any chance you could double the length of the delay, turn the heating up to maximum, and then kick him off at Swindon just for fun?

Why does the government insist on sending out Darren Jones again and again when all he ever does is manage to look like a bigger and bigger tool?

When an Estonian invites you to the woods it can mean either: ✅ mushrooms, ✅ berries, ✅ getting camouflaged into oblivion and crawling in the bushes with the latest mil tech. Defence Secretary Healey went and saw the 🇬🇧 troops doing the latter. Exercise #SpringStorm2026 #NATO
John Healey@JohnHealey_MP

In Estonia, where our troops stand with allies defending @NATO's Eastern flank. This is what Britain's ‘NATO first’ commitment looks like in action 🇬🇧

The French are building a 140 mile high speed line between Bordeaux and Toulouse. That line will open in 2032 (taking less than 10 years) and will cost £7.4b. Why does HS2 need £100b and another delay for the same distance between not actually central London and Birmingham?
HS2 Ltd@HS2ltd

HS2 is being reset. We've announced an updated cost and construction schedule to complete the railway, using the same methodology that successfully delivered the Elizabeth Line. With a four-year funding settlement secured, the programme has the stability to focus on improving productivity, enabling tighter cost control and ensuring construction work happens in the right order.👇🧵.

@SDoughtyMP @NATO So why is the government you’re a part of loosening restrictions on russian oil? A move that will directly help fund russian aggression?

Russia’s baseless threats against #Latvia and the Baltic States at the UN are completely unacceptable. The UK stands firmly with our Baltic Allies and in defence of European security - a threat to one @NATO Ally is a threat to us all.

Honestly, Starmer’s chief whip @jreynoldsMP should resign after sending this awful message to @KarlTurnerMP who has openly and bravely said he has MH issues, and complained to Reynolds about briefings on his mental health. Maybe those happened, maybe not. Doesn’t matter, you don’t treat a suffering colleague in this way. Karl has been a Labour MP for sixteen years and only recently lost the whip, and then over a matter of principle, jury trials.
Karl Turner MP@KarlTurnerMP

The chief whips response to me today after I raised the smears and briefings against me on mental health. Remember @Samaritans are there for you. If you are finding this difficult please don’t think that you are alone. They don’t judge, they just listen.

@itsrosiesturn It being russian wouldn’t stop the theatre industry – they couldn’t give less of a fuck about the moral side. But compliments on your lack of capitalisation. It’s nice to see.

@RhonddaBryant @PippaCrerar @LizzyBuchan @lukeharding1968 It might be abstract for you and you might feel comfortable relying on “but we did this…”, but I’ve lost a friend who mattered to me over there and I’ve spent so many nights talking to others who were sure if they’d make it to the morning. These are real lives. Do better.

@RhonddaBryant @PippaCrerar @LizzyBuchan @lukeharding1968 Chris, the department you were previously part of keeps openly funding someone with ties to Putin and under Ukrainian sanctions, and when asked about it, lies in FOI responses. When will the government you represent stop using Ukraine as a prop for good PR?

NEW: Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s office says it is seeking clarification from Downing Street on UK sanction decision @lukeharding1968 reports. Ukraine’s president hasn't yet commented on decision to issue new licence for imports of diesel and jet fuel made from sanctioned Russian oil. UK has also permitted maritime transport of Russian LNG. Zelenskyy has previously urged Western partners to maintain tough sanctions regime against Russian oil exports, pointing out that Moscow uses cash from hydrocarbon sales to fund its war against Ukraine. “There is currently very active communication between our diplomats and the Office [of the President] and the British side to clarify the details,” an aide said.

There are a lot of people in the world who believe being in a position of influence or power – whether CEO, civil servant, diplomat, journalist – must mean often remaining neutral and never speaking out. Those people need to meet Estonians.
Kati Laus@LausKati

I’m sorry @BBC but are we asked to feel sorry for the men who sell their underage daughters as brides or domestic slaves? Check your moral compass, it seems to be off.

Shit like this is going to keep happening, and industry leaders are going to keep acting surprised, until there is real change and actual accountability — not only for those committing the abuse, but for those who have benefited for too long by not caring and not acting.

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve pointed out that the only union that has shown any concern is the Musicians’ Union. Equity and BECTU couldn’t be less use. As for CIISA, not only does Equity refuse to support them, but Channel 4 does too.

I find it difficult to be surprised. Not only because I would be naive to think things like this couldn’t happen, but because if you speak to nearly anyone working in reality TV, it’s an open secret that there’s a lot goes on which is never made public. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
