What are you willing to give up to become who God made you to be? God has a version of you that is so much greater than the one fear and comfort have kept you from becoming. But getting there requires letting some things go. The question is, are you willing?

@zaywilliamss is a high level athlete. Plays above the rim. Versatile defender that can legitimately guard 1-5. Finishes everything around the rim, can slash, and make 3s. He’s also a high level rebounder on both ends. Does whatever the team needs to win.

I am incredibly blessed to announce that I will be continuing my basketball career at Arkansas Tech University 🏀 I want to thank Coach Downey and the entire Arkansas Tech coaching staff for believing in me and giving me this amazing opportunity. I am also beyond grateful for everyone who has played a part in helping me reach this milestone—coaches, teammates, family, and friends. I truly could not have done this without you. Your love, guidance, and support have meant the world to me. I’m excited for this next chapter. Go wonder boys!

Sports make a great game - but a terrible God. Listen carefully if you’re an athlete… One day the season will end. One day the career will end. One day the applause will stop. If your identity is in the game, you’ll feel lost when the game is gone. But if your identity is in God, the game simply becomes a platform. Sports are meant to be played. They were never meant to be worshipped. Train hard. Compete with excellence. Honor God with your effort. But never forget: Your purpose is bigger than your performance. “You shall have no other gods before me.” {Exodus 20:3}

If Arkansas enters SECT as projected 4 or 5 seed, should we not be at least talking about them as 3 or 4 seed after winning it? In last 8, Arkansas' only loss is to projected 1-seed Florida in Gainesville. 10-2 last 12. Only other loss double-OT at Alabama with 6 players. #wps

@will2whitson I used AI to help me estimate what if Hogs beat AL and then beat FL. Unlikely but possible… heck Florida State just about beat Duke today.

@GodChoseDev1 Happy birthday to the conference leader in Rebounds - 290 and 4th leading scorers - 465. It’s been fun watching you play with a great motor as a guard leading on the boards that way! @Tim_Miser @hutson_boggs

Billy Donovan shares a lesson that changed how his players thought about winning. At Florida, he had a manager track how long the ball was in each player's hands during a game. He asked one of his starters: "How many minutes do you think you had the ball in your hands for the game?" The player said 15 minutes when he had played 30. The real numbers? "A backcourt player, for the most part, is probably 92% of the game gonna be played without the ball in their hands. A frontcourt player - 95% of their minutes is gonna be played without the ball in their hands." Think about that. You're playing without the ball almost the entire game. "It's amazing to me how many players focus on points, points, points. That's what goes on ESPN. That's what gets the highlights." "But if you're gonna strictly talk about winning and you're really driven and motivated by winning and competing and being a good teammate, you have to look at the fact is -- what am I doing with my 92, 93, 94, 95%?" "Am I screening? Am I running the floor? Am I on the floor for loose basketballs? Am I rebounding? Am I taking a charge?" "There's so many ways to impact the game with the amount of time you're on the floor when the ball's not in your hands." This is what separates good players from winning players. You control how you show up. You control your attitude. You control your effort. Great teammates master what they do when no one's watching - and when the ball isn't in their hands. Winning isn't about the glamour. It's about the 95%. (🎥@Coaching_U ) (🎥@brendansuhr)

Billy Donovan asked his starter a simple question: "How long do you think you had the ball in your hands tonight?" The player guessed 15 minutes. Donovan tracked the real number - it wasn't even close. Here's what he learned and why it changed his coaching: (📌Bookmark this)
