"And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written." — John 21,25
@DrFrankTurek Okay but what's the problem? It seems like the problem according to the Bible is that we're not good enough for god but good enough for ourselves. The bible offers a solution to a problem we don't have.
Regardless of what you believe about the Bible, what can’t be denied is that the Bible nails the truth about human nature and our deceptive human hearts. But the Bible doesn’t just accurately state the problem. It also reveals the only possible solution.
@darwintojesus An eternity of worshiping a tyrant with more and more expected of you every day and you're never going to be good enough? Is there anything worse?
@darwintojesus I think its likely but there may be other explanations (other than god), it doesn't explain how life started to begin with.
You'd be more plausible if you didn't make such general sweeping statements that turn out to be wrong.
@marcado_razon@atreiyuh@erichovind no no, see my example about the door closing apparenly on its own, I have checked for ghosts and didn't find any, there could be another cause but I'm leaning towards a gentle breeze.
@atreiyuh@erichovind Sure it is. Here is their analytical process :
1. Assume everything is natural.
2. Observe a phenomena
3. Go to step 1 to explain it.
@marcado_razon@erichovind Actually I just assume the explanation is natural rather than supernatural unless evidence to the contrary is present. E.g I think it's probably a draft that shut the door and not a ghost.
@wendelltalks It contains harmful ideology and descriptions of sex and violent acts, i think an age restriction to read or be be read to from it, is reasonable.
The atheists claim the Bible is a work of fiction.
So why do several atheists have a strong visceral feeling of hatred and mockery toward the Bible?
I do not see them doing that to other books they consider fictional.
Maybe because they know it’s not fiction. That it is truly the work of God.
Ladies, Dale can hear your clothes. It’s a neurological condition like those people who can see music, but it’s worse, because your clothes are screaming at him. Pray for Dale.
