RIP Christian Astuguevieille, creative director of Comme des Garçons Parfums. It’s impossible to overstate how tremendous these fragrances are. So many unimpeachable, forward-thinking, life-changing classics. These were gateways for me 10 years ago, like hearing Spirit of Eden.

Never really liked Fugazi. Way too tame. When I first heard the music I was so confused like, oh people like this because it’s watered down versions of all the noise rock, post-hardcore, and other Dischord bands from the time. Feels proto-Turnstile (the newer albums) in that way.

This rhetorical trick is always so funny to me. Ok, if this is antisemitic, surely you think he’s lying about the NYPD training with the IDF? So you like him but think he’s lying antisemitically? Or you know it isn’t a lie, but think it’s antisemitic to acknowledge?
