Three years. 17 medals later. Still on top. Over 600 entries this year and we brought home 3 more golds, making it three years straight of walking away with wins. At this point, it’s not luck, it’s consistency. It’s dedication. It’s legacy. And I’m grateful to still be in the mix with so many talented cultivators pushing the craft forward.

Anyone that has some extra money can just buy weed and make a brand. Whats the point ? It’s called profit. That’s what a brand/business does it for that does not grow the flower they use for their own brand. Profit margin determines the flower they will use. Growers, grow because they love too. Not many will ever try to grow their own flower because it takes too much effort, it’s not easy, and you can never skip a step or day or you will fail. So respect to all the people with hands in the dirt putting their own actions and love into the products they create. #supportrealfarmers

@Ben_grows @FreeMrktCptlst I’m telling you these guys are bots or something they don’t understand anything about the plant. At least you recognize that and basically said what I told them. If dried and cured properly then frost means more potency and terps. Simple as that.

More crystals ≠ More potency !! 😱 Trichome production and the chemical compositions in those trichomes are two distinct processes of the plant! This is why “bag appeal” is such a terrible metric for evaluating weed. When you see weed like in this video you should run and here’s why: Because of resource allocation trade-offs in the plant’s metabolism, energy devoted to proliferating more trichomes comes at the expense of ramping up biosynthetic pathways for cannabinoids, terpenes, polyphenols, ethyls and volatile sulfuric compounds Plants have finite resources so prioritizing structural growth (trichome production, crop yield) over metabolic output (richer compounds) is a common trade-off the corporate cannabis industry will make in the name of profit 🤬 Always trust your nose not your eyes!! 👀

@Ben_grows It should always be the *last* box checked along with lab results. There’s at least three other variables that will tell you more about quality. You still fail to understand the op.

You said “when you see weed like in this video you should run,” and that’s where I disagree. I agree bag appeal alone isn’t enough to judge quality, but it should absolutely be the first box checked. Frosty flower can potentially hold more terpenes and cannabinoids simply because those compounds are produced and stored in the glandular trichomes ..the frost you’re seeing. From a photo we also have no idea how that flower was grown, cured, or how it smells. It could be excellent. For me it’s simple: if I’m allocating my resources, I’m choosing what looks and smells the best.

@Ben_grows @RollWitRory No the cure doesn’t stop it progresses over time… there’s alot of weed that goes out way to fresh to the consumers before a proper cure has taken place that can and will effect the consumers overall experience…

@RollWitRory I don’t think the consumers should be responsible to cure the weed themselves

@Jttentgrows Get yourself an ac infinity controller to check your vpd at least. No radiant heat from led means leaf surface temps way too low. Bump that heat up to 85-86

Here's cranky gal Scoopable. Any thoughts? Nitrogen hungry, sulfur deficiency? Or does she just need out of 3gal and transplanted to 5gal? Tight on space and lil stumped ✌🏻🌱

@Jttentgrows @JamesDa42150584 With LEDs, I’d say try increasing your RH to 65%+ if the room is at 80°F/52rH = 1.65 kpa. My goal for plants in veg growth is 1.0-1.2 VPD. Running slightly higher humidity during lights on helps keep VPD in range and the night time environment is just as important as the day

Environmental issues outside the 1.0–1.4 range. My guess is the humidity is swinging too much. Big RH fluctuations can push VPD out of range even if temperature looks stable, which can slow or stop plant uptake. I’d start by tracking the humidity graph and checking for nighttime RH spikes or temps not dropping properly.

I believe this is my entry for the selections Flower Cup on day 64 and starting to fade perfectly. I ran 3 different cultivars ranging from classic gas to, dank, unique fruit and I believe I’m going with the fruity terps plant. Not announcing strain yet. Best of luck to everyone.

@stoney_mcguire I potted CapJunky with two other plants that run similar timing for my next room. Should be fun to see how it play out

@Ben_grows Let her run the full 70. She can eat a lot but doesn’t need a lot of N. A very forgiving and rewarding variant. She likes drier soil as well.

In your opinion, who are the most reliable seed breeders out there right now? The ones actually selecting, stabilizing, and preserving genetics… not just pollen chucking for hype. CapJunky 👇

@Ben_grows It looks like you got the cut offered in the basement. That lilac and purple lacing is distinct. She has great appeal and finish with or without senescence. How long are you taking her? I run 70 days but she will push to 77-80.
