A lot of Zalympix entries looked beautiful and smelled phenomenal, but smoke quality is where the real conversation begins. Bag appeal only goes so far if the experience doesn’t hold up once it’s lit.

Muted Tree doesn’t make sense in comps, if flavor is MUTE, the core experience is missing. It’s like a Michelin star dish with no flavor⛓️‍💥🫰

I don’t necessarily think there needs to be someone to “blame” here. If an entry doesn’t smoke well, a lot of that conversation naturally falls on the grower and how the flower translated. At the same time, when you’re talking about one of the most prestigious competitions in the world, I understand why people question standards and curation too. That being said @zalympix is also selling an experience that you really can’t get anywhere else. Not everything is going to be phenomenal every single time even in the field I’m in, there are hits and misses. Ultimately it comes down to whether people feel that experience is worth participating in.

To the cannabis community, As a legacy grower who’s been in this game for the people building real quality from the soil up, Bobbys approach doesn’t align with our culture. He’s not a grower. He’s not a licensed cannabis business holder. Calling the cops on competitors, doxxing folks, and lying to customers with slick marketing on repacked mids and bulk seeds sold as premium genetics none of that sits right with me. When I made this post it was in regards to social media exposing all the best spots, restaurants, traffic hacks, etc. But knowledge should reflect status. The more educated or versed you are on a certain topic or industry should reflect your status. Cannabis industry with social media created a bunch of egos and internet trappers who think they are the end all be all because they have a certain amount of followers or got lucky with a package. Most of these dudes in the space weren’t around when it was taboo and highly illegal.
