Our American Homestead Exteriors MVP is @BcBuckettes Senior Zoey Hoskins who saved one of her best games at the plate for the program's first District appearance in over a decade reaching base in each of her 4 plate appearances going 3-for-3 with 2 triples, 2 RBI, and a run scored as the Buckettes will play for a District Championship after defeating Bucyrus 11-1.

Big win for @BcBuckettes last night advancing to District Finals. @grace_collene pitched 6 innings, gave up 1 hit and 1 run, while striking out 10. She also went 2 for 2 at the plate with a home run, 2 runs scored, and an RBI. BTW, she also set a new record for strikeouts in a season for Buckeye Central, 208. She now is the career leader, season leader, and strikeouts in a game leader in BC history. She also shares the record for no-hitters.

Sometimes life comes at you fast. And in the form of strikes. And sometimes you only need 9 of those strikes in a row to pull of what is referred to as, "Nasty Pitching" and Grace Collene has the "immaculate inning" exorcizing 3 Blue Devils back-to-back-to-back.

Grace Collene must have had plans for 7pm, because this game was over shortly after it began, and it was the Grace Collene show, from the mount and this MONSTER blast to walk-off after just 6, from the "Deer Stand" at Buckeye Central.

Grace Collene was locked in for Buckeye Central, striking out a dozen Carey batters and then blasting a walk-off homer in the 6th to end it. The senior standout credited her father for developing her grip and feel on the mound, and said there was no pressure at the plate—she was just looking to get on base. With a huge matchup looming against Upper Sandusky, Collene gave props to her teammates for grinding hard in practice and shouted out her entire family, especially her grandparents, for always being in the stands. Grace with 18K’s tonight to set a new Buckeye Central record. Also, had a double and an RBI. Most importantly the team got the dub.
