Joshua Dabelstein, the leader of the Australian branch of the Movement Against Antizionism (MAAZ), explains what is wrong with “cross the line discourse”—the notion that antizionism must “cross the line” into antisemitism in order to be condemned as hate.
“This is what is today known as ‘crossing the line discourse’. It frames antizionism as reasonable by default, with problems arising only in certain cases where it goes too far. That framing treats the starting point as legitimate and looks for a boundary where legitimacy ends.
This approach distorts what is actually being described. It concedes, from the commencement of the Royal Commission, that the main pathway for anti-Jewish vilification and violence today—antizionism—is reasonable.
Antizionism is not reasonable, and shouldn’t have to be considered something that becomes something else in order to be understood as antisocial. It is, in and of itself, inexcusable.”

It was in fact the Hamas headband, and she is in fact a CAIR linked candidate which is an arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in the US with documented ties to Hamas. The Holy Land Foundation trial and 1993 Philadelphia meeting established that. Even her tactical preemption of criticism by pulling the Islamphobia card is straight out of Qaradawi’s playbook.
