This is bullshit. The argument is that EVs are heavier but if that were the real reason they'd be applying the fee to trucks as well. A Model 3 weighs as much as a 1996 4Runner (<4k lbs). An F150 is ~5k lbs. This has big oil lobbying written all over it.

Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn has introduced a new AI bill that bundles 17 different policies into one massive, 291 page bill.
This is just like all these other tech bills we've been seeing - a massive Digital ID framework - with universal age verification being the key to access to the tools.

Weather has regularly been in the 60s/70s all Winter in Denver. Now, in March, we are pushing upper 80s, which is unheard of. This is not just a 'warm winter', its the warmest winter ever, by a lot. Minimal snow.

Was having an issue where Discord kept crashing while trying to open/update on Mac (Discord has way too many updates btw). Restart didn't fix it. Thought I might have to reinstall, but decided to let #Codex take a crack at it. Fixed the issue in 30 seconds.

Microsoft is a ~$4 trillion company, yet it’s promoting Windows 11 with an AI-generated image that literally shows two Start buttons on the taskbar.
It takes less than five seconds to capture a real screenshot of the Windows 11 desktop.
Perhaps the marketing team at Microsoft isn’t even using Windows, so they rely on Copilot to generate slop.

Yes, it looks like Microsoft’s marketing team can’t even capture a screenshot in Windows 11 to promote a basic feature like the Snipping Tool or the desktop. Microsoft proudly says the AI-slop screenshot of Windows 11 was generated using Copilot. In the image, the UI feels off, the details also don’t line up, and some of the so-called features don’t even look like the real UI of Windows 11. That’s the bigger problem with AI-generated marketing. That said, I wouldn’t be surprised if this is partly a marketing strategy to promote Copilot itself 🤷♂️

When you stream Spotify to Bluetooth speakers or headphones, the audio comes over the network lossily compressed with Vorbis or AAC codecs, is then decoded on your device to 48 Khz raw samples, then the Bluetooth stack lossily re-compresses it with SBC or AAC codecs before sending it over the airwaves to the speakers.
I don’t have “golden ears” to pick apart audio quality like I can with, say, missing gamma correction on texture filtering, but that still hurts my system optimization soul. It is likely over-optimization, but It would be cleaner if there were a way to send bluetooth-ready, compressed audio directly.

few things are still bugging me:
→ stop asking me when closing the app
→ let me open multiple terminals
→ setup scripts insufficient for worktrees for now
→ make it easier to go from subagent to main thread
→ don't show "No threads" (takes unnecessary space)
→ always show limits (not just in the menu thing)
→ streamline some clicks (instant push/commit for example)
