Opinion: Ultimately, Colbert’s departure is no loss for American culture. The nation needs unifying voices more than polarization in comedy shows. usatoday.com/story/opinion/…

“The obvious success of one model and the obvious failure of another is documented with every one-way U-Haul rental.
And it conjures in the mind a future Mamdani video. One in which the mayor is still raving about injustice—but nobody is left in New York to hear him.” @KimStrassel

Ken Griffin employs thousands of people in NYC and is planning to build the tallest office tower on Park Ave., investing billions more and creating thousands more jobs. (For that reason, he’s also here in NYC a lot, @NYCMayor)
Meantime Miami is welcoming him and his firm, with the massive jobs, investment and tax revenue he’s bringing.
Making him feel unwelcome and demonizing him seems risky. Ken left Chicago and moved Citadel hq to Miami a few years ago because of bad policy. (He also sold his penthouse there)

A Minnesota Somali migrant accused of stealing $11m of taxpayer funds has fled the U.S. ahead of trial in Hennepin County after he was allowed to bail out on $150k with no travel restrictions. Abdirashid Said already had a prior conviction for Medicaid fraud. The judge who let him out with no restrictions is Judge Juan G. Hoyos.
The fugitive has a wife and child in Africa.
Hennepin County is where the George Floyd and anti-ICE riots were allowed to happen by Democrats in power.

Quebec media COMPLETELY ignored me for decades, and were almost fully silent when the Quebec intelligentsia made me public enemy #1 because I made a joke about the French-Canadian accent on the @joerogan show. But now, they all wish to invite me for chats to discuss the problem of immigration in Quebec. Well, well. I've apparently gone from an ingrate immigrant because of my "linguistic genocide" but now I'm a hero protecting Quebec's secularism. How quickly one's status changes, eh?

I am honored and grateful to be appointed by President Trump to the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) and to be named Co-Chair along with OSTP Director Michael Kratsios.
PCAST is the principal body of external advisors tasked with shaping science, technology, and innovation policy for the President and the White House. Thirteen of the world’s most accomplished leaders in science and technology will join us as this PCAST’s initial members. Together we will make policy recommendations to ensure that America leads—and wins—in artificial intelligence and other cutting-edge technologies.
I look forward to working with the initial members: Marc Andreessen, Sergey Brin, Safra Catz, Michael Dell, Jacob DeWitte, Fred Ehrsam, Larry Ellison, David Friedberg, Jensen Huang, John Martinis, Bob Mumgaard, Lisa Su, and Mark Zuckerberg.
Thank you to President Trump for his visionary leadership on technology policy which attracts the top luminaries in their fields to serve. It is an honor to be part of this distinguished group.

I want to thank my family and my team for their continued support throughout every step of my professional career. When I was a child, I always dreamed about competing on the @PGATOUR, and I am just as excited today to announce that I am returning to the PGA TOUR. Being closer to home and spending more time with my family makes this opportunity especially meaningful to me.
I believe in where the PGA TOUR is headed with new leadership, new investors, and an equity program that gives players a meaningful ownership stake. I also understand there are financial penalties associated with this decision, and I accept those.
Finally, I want to thank the fans. Your support means more to me today than ever before, and I look forward to seeing you soon at the Farmers Insurance Open and WM Phoenix Open.

@DahliaKurtz And where did the millions come from to rename Dundas station, the far left views this as money well spent, normal people see the b.s. and virtue signalling and are appalled. Now you want more money. Give me a break.

@JustinThomas34 We’re really going to miss your fight and tenacity, you’re one of the few on the PGA that has a a personality.

Life update - I’ve had some nagging hip pain for a handful of months and after some time off and worsening symptoms, an MRI showed I had a disc problem that needed to be treated.
I had a successful microdiscectomy performed yesterday at Hospital for Special Surgery in NY and have already been released from the hospital. I’m so grateful to the doctors and staff there for all their hard work and support.
My next few weeks will be a lot of resting before the rehab process begins. I have a great team behind me who I fully trust to get me back to a better place than I was before!
Before you ask, I’m not putting any tournament on the calendar or specific time for returning. While I will miss some events in the beginning of 2026, I want to be very smart and patient in letting my disc fully heal so it isn’t an issue again. I’m very lucky that the game of golf allows us to play at a high level for a long time, and that’s what I plan on doing - this procedure will allow me to do that injury free in the future. Can’t wait to see y’all back out there ❤️

@MaximeBernier I’m afraid Canada may be crossing a cultural line that it will not be able to course correct. How about a multitude of other identities that were unjustly treated,…..it will never end as more and more “affected” groups gets added.

Starbucks isn't a poor company.
Last year, it made $3.6+ billion in profits & paid its CEO $96 million, while denying workers a living wage and decent benefits.
Let's stand in solidarity with striking Starbucks workers. Don't cross the picket line.

As of today, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history. Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX
