As the dust settles on a heart wrenching end to a magnificent @MarineAFC @FATrophy campaign, a few personal takeaways on our situation and the FA trophy competition; 1/16

@Riccoshire1999 @FA @CrosenderWay @MarineAFC @Liverpool_CFA I can understand if its a close one, but blatantly mistake really wind everyone up. I often think about what the ref must think when he goes home and sees the replays. He can't be proud of his performance surely

@Benmcd81 @FA @CrosenderWay @MarineAFC @Liverpool_CFA County player jumped up and rolled around Neymar style and home crowd screamed as one the ref bottled it because he didn't produce the red until about 10 seconds after, probably shat himself when he saw all the Pies baying for blood. Weakarse lower league officiating.

Being a part time team, playing against full time teams is hard, so sometimes need a bit of luck, but when you don't get stone wall decisions like this when the game is 0-0 leaves a real bitter taste and makes you think that the @FA and/or officials have their own agendas.

@Benmcd81 @FA @CrosenderWay @MarineAFC @Liverpool_CFA Agree, stonewall and the ref and his 3 mates shouldn't need slowed down replays and multiple angles to get this right🤦 Not just against the big teams though, we had Sam Sherring straight red card for this⬇️ against Notts County, we thought oops Sam got a yellow. Lost our appeal

We are proper part time. Train 2hrs, twice per week. Good luck in the Final 🤝

@mattyadders @FA @CrosenderWay @MarineAFC @Liverpool_CFA There is also a video from another angle showing the ref no more than about 10 yards away looking right at it, so I'm perplexed as to how he thought it was not a pen.

@Benmcd81 @FA @CrosenderWay @MarineAFC @Liverpool_CFA It’s a stonewall penalty from this angle when slowed down into slow motion. I’ll let you into a secret though, this wasn’t the refs view, he/she views things in real time, they don’t have video replays to look at it again.

Everyone else in the ground who seen it in real time thought it was a pen, including oppo fans at the other end of the pitch who have commented on this post.

We were beat fair and square, you seized half a chance after a mistake by our defender who is normally solid and punished us like good sides do. It's just the "what if" when its 0-0 that is hard to take. We have had lots over the season

@_StephenKillen Its frustrating to say the least when these decisions go against you at 0-0. What the staff and lads have done, with the depleted resources has been unbelievable, and they definitely deserved what was owed to them

How referees can perform this poorly, still get paid and get another game the week after is beyond me. If I was this poor at my job I woudl be sacked. They get away with it week in week out with the old "I never seen it" shout. They are there to see things.
