Such a weird season. Last thing I remember is watching the Zamboni game at my friend’s dorm going crazy, getting Trocheck, Skjei, and Vatanen 2 days later, Morgan Geekie playing like Wayne Gretzky, and then boom season over

Sometimes I think we forget how unique the circumstances were for us (Carolina) to land Seth Jarvis. Leafs weren’t a lock to make the playoffs that covid year but Marleau + 1st to Carolina -> Season stoppage -> Leafs get upset by CBJ in 5 game series -> Canes take Jarvis 13th

New interactive shot plots for @pierreanalytics! Using a d3 ice rink package by @AlexMandrycky, I re-created the click-to-video shot plots, added heatmaps, and a toggle for goal strength. Super happy with how this one turned out!

I was at this game live. DIF was completely out of it until Eklund started to assert himself in the second half of the game. All eyes were on #38 every time he hopped over the boards. Really fun game to watch.

Victor Eklund (#2025NHLDraft) had his best game of the season – at least so far – on October 25th. A hat-trick in the third period, 20(!) shot attempts, 11(!) shots on goal (many of them being high-danger ones). Eklund is EP's 8th-ranked prospect in the 2025 draft class.
