One of our favorite features of the new #RedGiantGeo is you can pick a layer in your comp (including a precomp) to be the refraction layer! Some of us immediately thought of this iconic shot and recreated it - animated in #Cinema4D and rendered in #AfterEffects with Geo!

Remember that 'air head' video made with Sora? Turns out it used a ton of rotoscoping and manual VFX. A 'head' would pop back on, and the balloon colors would keep changing from generation to generation. TL;DR researchers and developers of generative AI tools really need to prioritize consistency and control. "While all the imagery was generated in SORA, the balloon still required a lot of post-work. In addition to isolating the balloon so it could be re-coloured, it would sometimes have a face on Sonny, as if his face was drawn on with a marker, and this would be removed in After Effects. Similar other artifacts were often removed."

Some progress on my Aquila Rift project, middle section of the set is now ready for a final detail pass including cables and such, need to split emissive parts to their own meshes to prevent VT bleeding issues as well.

@BrainStorm_Joe You would also need the 3D camera tracking data… however since there is no parallax from the camera move you would not get any depth data.. just rotation and scale…
So to put it simply the complexity of a shot like this is way to involved for a simple news clip

This is 100% real and not shot on a green screen… what you claiming to be is called mpeg blocking and its cause by video compression

@BrainStorm_Joe If you wanted to actually do this in a green screen you would need a volumetric scan of the background so that the ground plane’s perspective would match with pull back of the camera… so this would need to be in 3D space
