Coming up on the show at 12pm:
We’ve received an email from a mother of two who is desperately seeking advice after her mother-in-law, who lived with the family and passed away two days ago after a a long illness in hospital.
Her husband wants to bring his mother home and have an open coffin in the house so neighbours can come and pay their respects. However, the emailer feels strongly that this would be too distressing for their young children. She believes having an open coffin at home could traumatise them and says no child should have to see someone they lived with in that way.
Her husband disagrees. He feels it’s important for the family, including the children to spend the final days at home with their grandmother and say goodbye together.
So, who is being unreasonable, the husband or the wife?

Fine Gael TD Hildegarde Naughton has received her seal of office from President Catherine Connolly this afternoon.
Deputy Naughton will now become Minister for Education, replacing party colleague Helen McEntee who moves to Foreign Affairs and Trade.

🤯 This is one of the worst governments we have ever seen, mired in scandal and crisis. A do nothing government on its way out.
People need action - real action to cut energy prices, to reduce grocery bills, to build houses, to bring down rents, to reduce childcare costs.
Sinn Féin will fight for that action every step of the way. Because Ireland deserves better. Workers deserve better. Young people deserve better. Families deserve better.
