Bernie has paid for all recordings, merchandise, CDs and all postage costs to honour his fans' pledges out of his own pocket. He has as yet been unable to pay his musicians, drummer Mik Gaffney and bass player Simon Morton for their work on the album.

Bernie remains in intensive care and asked for the following statement to be released: “PledgeMusic owe Bernie Torme almost £16,000 which was due last December on completion of his recent ‘Shadowland’ Pledgemusic campaign."

Just spent the week working in France and Germany. Everyone, from taxi drivers to senior execs, asked me WTF the UK was doing to itself with Brexit, and why.

@whatsinitforme @DAaronovitch Agree it could hurt them on competence & leadership. What there isn't any evidence for is a claim that this leadership adopting a much more pro-EU (or indeed more pro-Brexit) position would deliver a significant boost in support.

You’ve got to add on top of that the £650k Vote Leave overspend and the unaccountable £9-12m Arron Banks money which came from an impermissible overseas donor. And that’s before we get to likely data co-ordination between the two Leave campaigns. It was one massive fraud.

#newsnight Shocking lies from Peter Lilley when he says EU legislation isn’t scrutinised. All EU proposals are first sent to national parliaments so they can mandate their ministers before the EU Council of ministers deliberates. EuropeanParliament approval also needed.

@Balatty Yes. Whatever happened in the past was pointless & tragic & is past. The thought of revisiting that is just unforgivable. Little children love one another. Not religious personally but St John got that one right.
