When you give birth...Do you feel immediate relief like, you're not pregnant anymore ? Obviously you're probably not gonna feel back to normal but is there any type of relief ?
Friday was supposed to be Karoline Leavitt's last day before maternity leave.
She's 39 WEEKS PREGNANT, and could go into labor at any time.
But she came BACK to the podium today, because some radical anti-Trump leftist tried kiIIing the President on Saturday.
God bless her.
My daughter won’t be allowed to end up in NYC.
But it sure is a hell of a city.
The energy. Food. Ambition.
Nothing in the world like it.
I’m amazed and inspired every time I visit.
Will never understand why people don't include a home in their net-worth.
If the home is worth $550,000 and you owe $200,000 that $350,000 absolutely goes to your net-worth.
...What am I missing!?
What’s happening with college grads in the job market? I interview @noamscheiber author of “Mutiny: the Rise and Revolt of the College-Educated Working Class” this week on andrewyang.com/podcast to discuss what he is seeing.
I’m in a waiting room and a mom has an infant in her arms. Less than one year old. The baby is playing with the mom’s phone while the mom holds it. When the mom takes the phone away, the baby cries so she gives it back.
Less than one. Can’t walk or talk. Playing on a phone.
My girlfriend doesn't want my 13 year old son to come to our wedding.
I recently proposed to my girlfriend and we are planning a wedding for next summer. My fiancée mentioned that she wants our wedding to be child free and I'm okay with that. I just told her that the only exception had to be my 13 year old son. They've always gotten along well, but she immediately said no, claiming that she doesn't want anyone under 16 because she doesn't want to worry about children at the wedding. I assured her that nobody would need to look after him because he's 13 and very well behaved. I told her she could enjoy the wedding without any worries my only condition was that my parents, my son and my sisters could be a part of the wedding.
If someone asked for books for their baby shower (for the child, not the mom), what would you buy? I have several ideas already, but I’m always looking for more!
It’s really sad that the tradition of having physical photo albums has been lost, because now everything is digital. It was so beautiful to sit down, open an album, look at each photo, and relive so many memories.
Genuinely curious—why don’t more people use their own parents/kid’s grandparents for childcare as opposed to daycare/preschool/nannies (which seem more common)?
Is it common for boomer grandparents to show disinterest in their grandchildren?
@TheMattViera NYC is unique, I know people who live comfortably making under $100,000 and people who struggle making over $300,000. It depends on the lifestyle
I close on my first house tomorrow!
I’m putting a list together of things I need to do right away. Other than change the locks, what’s important to do on the first day of home ownership?
My biggest pet peeve:
What time is dinner, Christy?
Me: 6pm.
Inlaws: Ok
Me: See ya then. (Knowing they won't be here on time.)
Currently 6:45.
Kids:" I hate when they dont value our time. It's like this every holiday."(Last time they showed up 2 and a half hours late)
Me: "They work a farm. Sometimes, it's like that."
In my head: It's still rude. They can never be on time even when they don't have chickens. But holding my tongue.
Biggest pet peeve. Never on time.
