@MelbOnTransit @humantransit While true, from what I remember this line purposefully doesn't go close to both villages and resorts, meaning the main demographic that would use a train here (given the route), would never use it There's no direct line for workers, and it's icky for tourists bc if stations iirc

@humantransit Projects can have multiple purposes. An upgrade to Melbourne's Route 800 bus made sense on both ridership and equity grounds but I suspect equity is what carried the political argument. It was upgraded and Saturday usage jumped 200% (maintaining its already high boardings/km).
