@wrong_speak Wow. I just looked up salary comparisons for my husband's field and the US salaries are 2-4x as high for the same job. I don't understand how people afford to live over there.

Years ago, I was seriously considering moving to Germany. I did a video interview for an IT job.
When they asked me for my salary requirement, I undercut my salary at the time and the lady's face almost exploded from shock.
Needless to say, I never heard back from them. European salaries are terrible and even my low ball salary ask was monumental.

After living in a western country outside the US for a decade I’m so over it. It’s laughable how far behind they are to the US. Fewer choices. Often out of stock of staples. Higher prices. Lower wages. Fortunately it’s not a European historical city with laughably small living spaces. People develop a mindset where they’re proud of having a lower standard of living because they often don’t know what they’re missing and they think they’re being socially conscious by having less as if they were given an option.

They rushed it through with mostly Democrat votes. The plan has 222 votes. It needs 270 to actually start working. Once it does, your vote in Virginia doesn’t matter anymore.
The Founders made the Electoral College so a few big cities don’t boss the whole country. This is a sneaky Democrat power grab to cheat that.

Chinese people need to wait WEEKS to reserve a ticket for the Forbidden City, yet in my video i showed that foreigners can go on the same day, no booking
I thought many locals would be mad and say its unfair because we dont have any preferential policy for foreigners in other countries, in fact when i went to Uzbekistan foreigners need to pay more than locals!
But surprisingly my post on social media went viral and almost all Chinese said they support this policy. Some said foreigners might have trouble with Chinese apps and we should help them. Some said their itineraries are inflexible, cant guarantee to book in advance, and also they want foreigners to have the best experience here so they can share it when they go home.

I once went on a date with a woman who said she came to Miami on a political asylum visa. It was a stable country so I asked “was there really that much political repression there?” She said no, but her lawyer told her to cite anti-LGBT laws and say she was a lesbian.
