After living in a western country outside the US for a decade I’m so over it. It’s laughable how far behind they are to the US. Fewer choices. Often out of stock of staples. Higher prices. Lower wages. Fortunately it’s not a European historical city with laughably small living spaces. People develop a mindset where they’re proud of having a lower standard of living because they often don’t know what they’re missing and they think they’re being socially conscious by having less as if they were given an option.
