The Nigerian Medical Association has now confirmed that Blessing CEO deceived and defrauded Nigerians by parading a fake and forged medical report of breast cancer which originally belongs to someone else called Mbara Deborah. The NMA says Blessing CEO fraudulently forged this document to deceive the public for money. The NMA is now calling on the government and all relevant authorities to please step in and “do the needful to save unsuspecting members of the public from being taken advantage of.” It is a shame that it has gotten to this. But I completely agree with the NMA that this fraudulent disgraceful attempt to mock the pain of real cancer patients, to minimise the distress of people who have lost loved ones to cancer and to exploit the kindness of Nigerians is an insane behaviour that we must not tolerate as a society. This fraudulent deception needs to stop.

This guy was the most dangerous out of all of them. He pointed a gun at me and kept threatening me like my life meant nothing. He’s the same one that hit me with the gun, shocked my body, beat me, and even slapped me from behind when I didn’t see it coming. Out of everyone there, he was the most aggressive. The most dangerous. He needs to be stopped!!! He is evil!!! @PoliceNG @PoliceNG_CRU

I really hope this video goes viral and the Nigeria Police Force sees this and does something about it. This happened in Abulado, Lagos. Me and my guy @ehispascal were on a bike when four officers stopped us. We came down peacefully, no issues at all. One officer was talking to me, another to my guy. Everything was calm. They were asking questions and we answered calmly because we had nothing to hide. They asked me to open my phone, and I didn’t hesitate because I didn’t want any problem. Suddenly, out of nowhere, one man came from behind and slapped me. Even the officer checking my phone was shocked and asked what just happened. At that moment, I didn’t even know he was a police officer because he wasn’t in uniform. Out of anger, I reacted and slapped him back and even tried to confront him. That’s when the others held me and told me he was an officer. That’s when I realized everything was already planned. Next thing, all of them started beating us. It was bad. My guy’s face even got swollen. They then threatened to take us to the station. I told them no problem, let’s go, but the officer who slapped me must come along too. I told them when we get to the station, they would know who my father is. They kept asking for his name, but I refused and said they would find out at the station. That’s when they got scared. Instead of taking us to the station, they drove us to a bridge, dropped us there, and told us to go.

I am shaking right now… “You mean she has not been killed for this grievous act and no one is championing for her death?” By the way, she probably wants to entice the Christian lady to do the same so they can unleash fury on her.

A Muslim woman reportedly had a disagreement with a Christian woman. She then went and bought a Bible and set it on fire, allegedly expecting Christians to react. It is claimed that she was trying to provoke conflict between Christians and Muslims in the North, but she was surprised when no one responded to her actions.

Another bodaboda incident involving a drunk lady. She had no money to pay the bodaboda rider. When the operator confronted her (together with his colleagues), she became violent. She grabbed a projectile and hit the rider. The rider decided to face her like a man, and the brawl escalated. Attempts by the guy in red to separate them did not succeed. Who is wrong between the two?

I met this girl here on Twitter and we’d been vibing a lot. After some time, I decided to meet her in person and take her out. When she arrived, I was shocked. She had told me she was 27yrs while we were talking, but judging by her face and body, I’d say she looked around 17–18yrs. I didn’t say anything at that moment. Since she was already there, we still went ahead with the date. I bought her so many things, but along the line I noticed she was ordering too much. I tried to talk to her about it, and it led to a misunderstanding. She started insulting me, asking what exactly I bought for her that was too much. During the argument, she said she was leaving and still asked me to give her transport fare because she was going to Ogun State, claiming she didn’t have money with her. Imagine… after insulting me, she still expected me to give her more money, lol. I told her I wasn’t giving her a dime. She then went ahead to insult me even more, calling me brokie and all sorts of names. I got really upset and left her there. I don’t know how she later managed to get home, but honestly, I don’t care.

@General_Somto Worse than this happened in other states, including states in SE region, and no one tagged it tribal bullying. It's only when it happens to Igbos in SW states that Igbo tagged it tribal bullying. Yet, your people, kept moving into the SW region enmasse yearly. Why keep on coming?

What struck me about this video of “fake virginity blood” being sold in Northern Nigeria is not the product itself, but the moral education that makes such a product necessary. Deception does not appear out of nowhere. It is learned. And as bell hooks reminds us, patriarchy is one of the most effective schools of deception we have. When a society places impossible and one-sided moral demands on women, while demanding almost nothing from men, it does not produce virtue. It produces performance. Virginity here is not really about sex. It is about proof. About a woman’s body being turned into evidence. The hymen becomes a certificate of value. Blood becomes currency. Honour becomes something that must be staged convincingly enough to satisfy male judgment. Growing up in Northern Nigeria, many of us heard the stories in whispers. Rumours about the lengths people went to preserve the myth of virginity. Women avoiding vaginal penetration entirely. Anal sex used as a workaround, so that on the wedding night the illusion could be completed. Blood shown. Husband reassured. Honour “intact.” Everyone colluding in a lie that everyone knows is a lie. This is not moral decay. It is moral absolutism doing what it always does. It teaches people how to deceive in order to survive. bell hooks writes that patriarchy teaches men and women to lie in different ways. Men learn to lie about vulnerability. They are trained to suppress fear, tenderness, emotional need, because honesty would cost them power or status. Women, on the other hand, learn to lie to stay safe. They learn that telling the truth about their bodies, desires, or histories can bring punishment, abandonment, or violence. So women learn concealment. Performance. Strategic silence. Seen this way, fake virginity blood is not shocking. It is logical. It is a market solution to a moral contradiction. If a woman’s worth is reduced to an anatomical fiction, she will find a way to manufacture that fiction. And we must ask the obvious question: where is the demand for virginity from men? Where is the obsession with their bodies as proof of moral worth? Where are the rituals, the products, the inspections? Men are assumed whole by default. Women must prove themselves worthy. The tragedy is not that women deceive. The tragedy is that honesty is made dangerous for them. A society that truly cared about morality would start with symmetry. It would care less about blood on bedsheets and more about kindness, responsibility, and mutual respect. Until then, deception will continue to flourish. Not because women are immoral, but because patriarchy demands purity while rewarding power. And whenever purity is demanded without justice, lies will follow.

The video I just saw on Instagram is wild. A father took his daughter to the cinema to watch a movie, and right in the middle of the most interesting part, two people had a misunderstanding that, in the blink of an eye, turned into a full-blown brawl. If you must fight do it outside, so other people can peacefully enjoy their movie. Is there anywhere people don’t fight anymore? 😭😭
