I truly wonder what an able-bodied person would do if someone went up to them and said, “I’d kill myself if I were you.” Because many disabled people are told that by complete strangers very frequently.

UK IS CUTTING DISABLED BENEFITS AND HOPING YOU DON'T NOTICE Next week, 730,000 severely ill and disabled people lose half their financial support. Not people currently claiming. Future claimants. Which means the delivery driver who hasn't had his accident yet. The teacher who hasn't got her diagnosis yet. The nurse who hasn't developed long Covid yet. You. The government's own numbers confirm this. By 2029-30, 730,000 people who don't yet know they'll need this benefit will get £3,000 less per year than someone who claimed this week. Charities are already warning this leads to eviction, hunger, and loss of care. Meanwhile the standard allowance, the part healthy working people receive, goes up. The message couldn't be clearer about who counts. Most people won't follow this story. Disability cuts feel like someone else's problem until the moment they aren't. That's exactly what governments count on. Source: @DrFrancesRyan , @guardian, 2 April 2026

How nice of the government to celebrate World Autism Day by releasing snippets from a "review" implying people are just making it up due to "perverse incentives" like "getting support" and "having enough money to live".

Girls have been reading comics since the beginning. Women are why you have science fiction as a genre, why Star Wars is as good as it is, and more. You can continue to dismiss women in this space but we're not going anywhere.

I’ve been an NHS doctor for over 15 years I can sit here and confidently tell you that the NHS is worse today than it has ever been Streeting’s NHS funding cuts, doctor replacement, referral refusals have led to astronomical hospital wait lists & GPs on the brink of collapse

No - the UK has not legalised “abortion up to birth". We will not let misinformation go unchallenged. An important mythbuster from us 🧵👇
