@AmbiguousWren We are very blessed with 4 distinct seasons each year.

Oh to live in a plane with actual arrays of temperature. This is so beautiful but here would be a absolutely dominated in red for 90% of the year (I want to experience seasons y'all)

@SharLokke There are lots of beautiful temperature patterns or even preprinted material on Etsy. It's a hard choice each year trying to figure out which one to use:)

That's exactly why I started doing the embroideries. Temperature blankets are great but they are bulky to store all year as you're doing it and then you have a bulky blanket to find a place for. The embroideries (and cross stitches) can be stored in a little plastic bag all year while you're working on it then on the wall when done.

@lweissen The tree was actually a piece of material with the print already on it. If you go on Etsy, search for "temperature tree embroidery" it should come up. I actually preferred that because she mailed me the printed material already ready to go. It's much easier to stitch on.

@mustang_The_A The Hilux is so popular here. They keep going up in value. I just sold it back to the company that imported it for more than I originally paid for it 2 years ago. They are crazy reliable. This one was a 1994 and it never broke down.

Getting my oldest to try new things is pulling teeth, but his eyes lit up like Christmas morning with his first sip of root beer at his cousins house yesterday. Who’s got another brand recommendation?

I highly recommend checking out Dedri Uys's blog Look At What I Made. Her patterns are SO easy to learn with detailed instructions and videos for every row of every pattern. Before doing her first pattern Sophie's Universe, I had only done basic granny squares. I learned ll of the different stitches and techniques from her.

What makes it even more amazing to me is that with all the different colors of thread, you could have endless possibilities of color combinations all you really need is a plan and a list of colors.
