@IanARowe If a patient needed an initial focus would it be reasonable to say firstly concentrate on abstinence? Benefits from reduced alcohol but also lesser daily calorie intake from stopping, might be a kick start to a little weight loss also as extra motivation

One of the main reasons for a diagnosis is to allow treatment For this patient with fatty liver disease (#NAFLD, #ArLD), which treatment is most likely to prevent progression to cirrhosis? Weight loss, or abstinence? What does that mean for the diagnosis? #livertwitter
