Exactly a month into my #NQP acute role and I can’t wait to tick off two big firsts tomorrow: - supporting a FEES for pt who has been distressed by their cough when drinking for months - A joint with a MCA practitioner to assess a patients capacity around ceilings of care

Ending placement & my whole MSc course with a training to 30 HCA’s was so rewarding and quite fitting rounding up a summary of everything we have learnt communication & swallowing wise! Congrats @JGaisfordSLT we did it!! 🥳

Really enjoyed learning more about their learnings so far and the benefits of #biozoon for dysphagia management. Now for seeing it in clinical practice one day!🤞🏼

Saw my first FND patient on placement today! Such an interesting communication presentation and sparked lots of discussion with @JGaisfordSLT and our PE 🧠 So helpful to now have this in mind when reading up about it! #FND #slt2b
