@Demeter_Erinia Yep and before they added the area code. I still remember party lines too. You would pick up the phone to make a call and someone else was already on a call so you waited.

@yankeemegg Then there’s always those games that show up on prime or Apple. It’s getting ridiculous trying to be a fan of Baseball . They’re trying to grow the game yet they keep making it more difficult by charging people so much on TV & in person if tryto go to the stadium.

Our blackouts are Os, Nats, Braves (but we get their network here), and...Reds🤷♀️

@yankeemegg We don’t actually even get a Philly station, but they block us out anyway because it is available as an extra charge on our cable package. I’m not paying just for those few games that we play them.

@yankeemegg Because we’re not far from Philadelphia we get blacked out when the Yankees play the Phillies Or if they’re playing Washington also. Washington and Baltimore share MASN & MASN2 😩

@yankeemegg I actually have the YES network as part of my cable package, but I’m always blacked out from the games because I am not in the viewing area. I can watch the pregame and post game all the time and anything else that they’re showing but not the games. 😡

@yankeemegg Same. I understand - when I lived in the B’more area, I got blacked out from YES broadcast that I used to get on MLB extra innings. Same thing on MLB TV. Delaware is so close to MD that we get some B’more channels so again I’m forced to watch on MASN.

The death of John Sterling is hitting me so hard!! 😢😢I know he lived a great life to age 87. He got to travel city to city calling Yankees games, eating in nice restaurants. He was one of a kind! John you will be missed!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻😢😢💔
