I can remember as a child during the hours from Noon to 3 PM on Good Friday, there would be an aura of silence, reverence, and penance. Even if we are not able to get to the sacred liturgy at that time, we still try to keep some awe during the “Tre Ore,” those three hours. @thegnewsroom

The Department of Education student loan portfolio stands at nearly $1.7 TRILLION, with fewer than 40% of borrowers in repayment and almost 25% in default—a clear sign of years of mismanagement. The Department of Education was never intended to operate what would be the fifth-largest commercial bank in the United States, distributing over $100 billion each year in Federal student loans and grants. The new @USTreasury-@usedgov partnership fixes that by putting repayment and collections in the hands of Treasury to bring long overdue financial discipline to the program and better stewardship of taxpayer dollars.
