Different matter... 1987 was things were still good I'm Oregon, but we have to see how much it has changed from then to now with Tina Kotek in government for the last 20 years, Kitzhaber, then brown, and then Kotek... Our was attend then things actually started to take place, but things took a drastic turn on 2020 with COVID. So... I'm 57 and an Oregon Native. Well to be fair, your article glosses over the parts from 1987 and fast forwards to the latest failed policies. Having lived in Portland in the early 2000s, the homeless epidemic didn't happen in the last decade; it was quietly growing in downtown. The fact is historically, they essentially banned logging to "protect the spotted owl" using flawed studies from "conservation" groups. Then decades later they finally admit it was mostly another predatory owl. Oregon has been on a continuous downward spiral and its a miracle people are only noticing now. Never mind the whole Oracle/Healthcare debacle or the fact that we have roads that are barely maintained and have never been improved in 40 years

Might be an unpopular opinion on here but replacing a concert with a speech is lame and boring. Just go out and get real musicians to play. Don’t cancel the concert just because a bunch of washed up old has-beens canceled. There are hundreds of artists out there who might not be famous but would absolutely leap at the chance to play on a stage like this.

Oregon Democrats, honesty time... What has Tina Kotek done that actually improves the lives of all Oregonians? Not just select groups, special interests, or "immigrants," but us Oregonians, especially us who are born and raised here. After years as Speaker and now Governor, Oregonians are still living with many of the same problems, so spending money and passing bills have not produced results that average residents can clearly feel in daily life. I am more informed than you can imagine and I keep updating my information as I go along and I know the answers to this. Can you remain within the topic and accept answers to what we both know to be righy? Can I be proven wrong? Of course, but you'll need to bring that your "A" game and Google and Wikipedia searches, because I can answer this without looking up a majority of them.

We all identify as something politically... But, let me point out something... If you are only voting for an R, D or I after a politicians name, you are giving up your agency. Because you are voting for a corrupt system that's only goal is power who uses you to maintain it. You aren't voting for policy, general welfare of the people or even sticking it to this candidate or that one, or because you live in hated of others. The politicians themselves do not make it easier either by how they act, what they say and what they do. Our system was never designed to be what it is today, but rigorous debate is as much a part of that as anything else. But, the way we vote honestly matters in a general sense as much as personally. Our civic duty is not to vote for the R, D and I after the name, it is for us to do our due diligence and get candidates on platform, integrity, honesty, and other virtues that present strength, the person who is the most qualified to do the job because what they give us is their resume, we interview them, and we expect them to be an blue to do the job they were hired to do. We are their employers and they works for ALL of us regardless of what's after their name or ours.

Tomorrow is a huge day for me... You see, I used to identify as trans from a maladaptive coping mechanism from severe abuse... mother, stepfather, family, peers, military and an ex until I was in my late 20's. I did everything I could to escape my trauma and my biology. I knew about God but I never had a relationship with him. May 28th, 2024, I literally had an argument with God for the next 4 days. Tuesday God: You need to tell them. Wednesday God: You need to tell them. Thursday God: You really need to tell them Friday God: You will tell them. For the first 3 days I pushed back and thought I was crazy. In the middle of a pasture, God healed me and took the weight of my trauma off me, my identity of being trans away, and made me a new person. But, here I am today, and I'm the best place I have never lever been in my life mentally. I will deal with Autism and ADHD, but to not deal with all the trauma? Yeah, I feel thousands of pounds lighter and feeling happy with it. God put me in a serious diet of His will, word, and life So, tomorrow is my 2 year anniversary of my relationship with God as my true role model, and I couldn't be happier.
