Oh my how the Stanford of the East has fallen.
Shabbos Kestenbaum@ShabbosK

An open letter to current Harvard faculty, donors, and trustees: I know you hate me. I know you hate President Trump. I know you think the enforcement of federal law is actually a conspiracy to overhaul higher education. I know you think the multiple conclusions of religious discrimination against Jews is a lie. But I am genuinely struggling to understand, irrespective of antisemitism, how the current disastrous state of the University has not resulted in tangible, meaningful reform. I implore you to answer basic questions about how you continue to choose to run Harvard University: 1. Why do you insist on paying Claudine Gay, an actual serial plagiarist who was forced to resign, a salary of $900,000 a year? 2. Why specifically should Claudine Gay of all people be teaching a class on leadership, using Harvard as a case study? 3. What specific merits and talents does Chairwoman Penny Pritzker bring to the table? What is the specific justification for keeping her? 4. For what specific reason is the University refusing to comply with federal law by not sharing the criminal background history of your foreign students to DHS? 5. Does it bother you that 97% of the faculty identify with one particular political ideology? If yes, what are two specific actions you're willing to take to rectify the problem? 6. What specifically have you done to ensure that the few conservative students left on campus aren't self-censoring their work and opinions? 7. Does it bother you that multiple faculty members, such as Professor James Hankins, admitted they or their colleagues were told that white men, in the post George Floyd backlash would no longer be hired if there was a (less qualified) black or gay applicant? 8. Thousands of donors, representing billions of dollars, have refused to give anymore since 10/07. What specific policy overhauls have you implemented to win them back? Irrespective of antisemitism, I'm genuinely struggling to understand why Harvard refuses to get out of its own way. This entire controversy since Day 1 has been entirely self inflicted and avoidable. Poor leadership after poor leadership...

The UN is a corrupt joke More slaves were held by Africans than were EVER sent across the Atlantic 7 in every 1000 Africans is a slave TODAY: 10 MILLION people It took 300 years for 10M slaves to cross the Atlantic 🤦‍♂️ And the Arab Slave Trade in Africans continues TODAY! So where are the protests outside the embassies & high commissions of Nigeria, Sudan, Mali, Chad etc? Utterly contemptible. This is not about slavery at all. This is an attack on Britain, America and the West. Slavery is universal and as old as man. What was unique was the Christian evangelical movement that spread across Britain, America and Western Europe that led to the West ending its BRIEF involvement in slavery. Never forget: Britain was the first country in world history to deliberately make itself poorer in the pursuit of a moral good - i.e. the vast sums it expended enforcing an end to the slave trade on land and the high seas. We must call this nonsense out. Me at Cambridge:
Politics Global@PolitlcsGlobal

🚨🌍 NEW: The UN has voted to recognise the slave trade as “the gravest crime against humanity” and also called for reparations to the countries impacted The UK, France and other EU member states abstained whilst the US, Israel and Argentina opposed the proposal

There are people whose top national priorities are: 1) Putting biological men in your daughter’s bathroom 2) Preventing illegal aliens from being deported at all costs These people are called “elected Democrats”.

The temerity of the gaslighting leftists (telling sex-realists and mRNA questioners to keep the politics out of medicine) is stunning. STUNNING!
Travis Morrell, MD MPH@MorrellMDmph

Did you see this @VPrasadMDMPH paper? One in three medical policy statements were political; they're left-leaning FORTY times more than right. With 40 to 1 odds, it's more likely @ASPS_News saying "no gender surgery on kids" was evidence-based, not political. link in reply

Whoa 🤯
Melissa Chen@MsMelChen

This is one of the most important threads that explains what has been eating at you over the last few years. Ever since the great Precambrian Woke Explosion of 2020, it no longer mattered what the specific issue was whether it was climate change, BLM, trans rights, ANTIFA, Free Palestine, or feminism. All left-wing activist causes suddenly felt deeply interconnected and totalizing in very weird and strange ways. If you are a sane person, you'd have asked: > how come feminists didn't care about the Iranian women subjugated and slaughtered by the Mullahs for wanting more freedom? > how come UN Women cared more about making sure trans women (men) have access to female prisons than Hamas terrorists raping Israeli women? > how come Greta "How Dare You" Thunberg smoothly pivoted to campaigning against Israeli "apartheid" while never once mentioning China destroying marine ecosystems with overfishing? > what the fuck EVEN is Queers for Palestine? > why the hell was Microsoft doing land acknowledgments before Zoom town halls? Everything from American corporate life to Hollywood movies to universities became vehicles for the omnicause: a single, all-encompassing moral framework where climate, race, gender, borders, and foreign conflicts are fused. The surface “issue” often became secondary to maintaining ideological purity across the entire bundle. What was driving this? I KNEW where it was coming from. Now, @DataRepublican and @AsraNomani have the receipts. David Horowitz used to say that "the issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution." The revolution here is the overthrow of the ideological architecture of the West and the remaking of the world order. China's leadership explicitly wants to undermine American confidence of itself and of the US-led World Order because Beijing is a revisionist power that sees the system as designed to keep it subordinate. And so it amplifies narratives that portray the US-led order as the "root of evil" - imperialist, morally bankrupt, white supremacist, exploitative, and in inevitable decline. The aim is cognitive warfare to erode domestic support for protecting this order which serves to facilitate China's seamless rise. Neville Roy Singham has funneled at least $278 million through dark-money intermediaries, donor-advised funds, shell companies, and US nonprofits into a vast network of far-left activist groups, media outlets, and political education organizations to push this. @DataRepublican directly quotes Singham at a 2024 CCP forum in Shanghai: "If we want to have a new world order based on multilateralism that President Xi and CPC and China have proposed, we have to undo the ideological damage that has been done by the narrative of World War II." Read that again. Understand that Singham sees this WWII narrative as the last major cultural obstacle standing between the current order and the “multipolar” (China-led) future his network is working toward. And now... notice all those around us who are parroting the same line. It used to be just the crazy lefties and the NGOs like the UN. Or the globalists like the WEF. Now you're seeing it on the right. Beijing wins when a majority in the West treats US hegemony and the post-1945 system as invalid, so that it can replace it with one where it sets the rules and norms.

After my daughter Katie was killed by an illegal immigrant who should never have been here, I was told these policies are compassionate and moral. But when policies predictably create victims, they are not moral. They are negligence, and families like mine pay the price. Read my latest op-ed on @townhallcom: townhall.com/columnists/joe…

Someone put this diagram together and it deserves to be read slowly. Three of the most disturbing psychological experiments in modern history placed in a Venn diagram with COVID policy sitting precisely at their intersection. They were not wrong. Most people know the Milgram experiment. Ordinary people administering what they believed were lethal electric shocks to strangers because an authority figure in a white coat told them to continue. We wrote about this. COVID replicated it at planetary scale, the doctors, the neighbours, the employers, the family members who enforced mandates with a zeal that had nothing to do with science and everything to do with institutional obedience. But the other two are equally important and far less discussed. The Asch Conformity Experiment demonstrated something even more fundamental. Solomon Asch showed in the 1950s that a significant majority of people will deny the evidence of their own eyes will give an answer they know to be factually wrong, simply because everyone else in the room is giving that answer. Not because they were threatened. Not because they were paid. Because the social pressure of the group was sufficient to override direct sensory experience. This is what masking a healthy population, cancelling Christmas, and demanding that people treat their neighbours as biological threats actually accomplished. It was not about any of those things specifically. It was about training an entire population to override their own perception and defer to the group consensus, however absurd that consensus became. And then the Stanford Prison Experiment. Philip Zimbardo’s 1971 study abandoned early because it spiralled so rapidly out of control, showed that ordinary people assigned roles of authority over other ordinary people will, within days, begin to abuse that authority in ways they would have found unthinkable before the role was assigned. The guards became cruel not because they were cruel people but because the structure gave them permission and the institution backed them up. We watched this happen in real time. The COVID marshals. The border agents turning families away. The hospital administrators barring visitors from dying patients. The teachers reporting parents. The neighbours calling police on children playing in parks. The HR departments gleefully processing terminations for the unvaccinated. Ordinary people, handed a role and a uniform of institutional approval, discovering capacities for cruelty that their pre-2020 selves would not have recognised. Now go deeper. Because the institution at the centre of this, the one that has connected these threads across decades is not an accident of history. Stanford sits at the intersection of centralised medicine, defence research, and the surveillance architecture that has been constructed around human attention and behaviour for the better part of a century. The Stanford Research Institute. The connections to MKUltra the CIA’s mind control programme that ran from the early 1950s and included everything from Mexican mescaline experiments to the weaponisation of LSD on unwitting subjects, overseen by figures who moved seamlessly between military intelligence and the medical establishment. From General Groves who oversaw the Manhattan Project and the deliberate suppression of radiation health data to Sidney Gottlieb, the CIA chemist who ran MKUltra’s most extreme programmes. The through-line is not conspiracy. It is institutional continuity. The same networks. The same funding streams. The same willingness to use human beings as experimental subjects in the service of power dressed as science.
