Woman brazenly stole the wooden monkey statue from the Shoulder of Mutton pub in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire on Saturday night. CCTV captured her hesitating, then confidently swiping it off the windowsill and walking out with it in her hand while her group of friends left. Landlady Lesley Wood (11 years at the pub) discovered it missing Sunday morning and posted the footage with an appeal: “If she brings him back there will be no harm done.” She added: “This isn’t the first time he’s been taken… he’s just gone on another holiday!” Pub regulars are gutted, the cheeky monkey has become part of the furniture.
