The 2026 Team USA squad had the best cast of players in its WBC history. But they didn't play with the same heart... the same passion that the 2023 or 2017 championship team did.
When you look at Venezuela, the D.R., etc., you see that baseball is their life. As for Team USA... for the most part, it looked like it was just their job.
Poor game management and uninspired play. That was the difference in this tournament.
