Keynote address & blessings delivered by the Mufti, Sheikh Salim Ibrahim Al Mukhtar. The event was broadcast Live on Eri-Tv and Radio Dimtsi Hafash. Similar celebrations held all over the nation.

ETHIOPIA — 🔥 A major military operation launched by Ethiopia’s federal government in the Amhara Shewa zone appears to have collapsed, after Fano fighters claimed control of large parts of Southern Gondar. The operation, dubbed “የመጨረሻው መጨረሻ” [The Very Final End], had been presented by authorities as a decisive campaign. However, over two days of intense fighting, Fano forces reported capturing a string of towns, including Nefas Mewcha and Tiss Abay, before advancing into Debre Tabor, a strategically important town roughly 100km from the regional capital Bahir Dar. As in previous advances, they reportedly released political detainees in areas that came under their control. Reports of federal troops withdrawing from parts of the Amhara region, along with news that Debre Tabor had fallen, have sent shockwaves among local officials from the ruling Prosperity Party (PP). Attention is now focused on Bahir Dar, amid speculation it could become the next target. Panicked, the federal government has responded to the development with limited air and drone strikes on Debre Tabor, while reinforcements have been dispatched from Woreta as part of efforts to reverse the territorial losses.
