@colorfulnian 这些是众所周知的缩写，做不到中文这种「自带信息量」的缩写。比如我说 UofT，估计知道的人就没几个了，这是 University of Toronto 的缩写。 当然了，中文也不是说任意缩写都能看懂，凡是缩写都是有损压缩，就看熟悉不熟悉了。只能说中文相对好猜些。

@matthewma528 @mranti @cholf5 汉字信息熵非常高只体现在人机交互这一层，处理，传输，存储的信息密度根本没什么区别，不理解的看看“China”和“中国”的计算机编码比特长度，更不用说字母转成比特后压缩率更大。

@mranti @cholf5 刚问了个国内的学术界朋友早大是哪里，前提是他没去过日本，他的回答是不知道。看了图后，他困惑的说“为何不早说是早稻田”。所以就这个例子而言，汉字的信息密度体现在哪里呢？约定俗成罢了。如果按照汉字加阿拉伯数字给中学编码的习惯给早稻田编码（例如北京1中），可不可以叫j1或者j2大学呢？

@mranti @cholf5 这看约定俗成，并不是非要缩写，没有“完全可以”，MIT缩写是因为早就大众熟知，哈工大同理。但不知道MIT的洋人照样一大把，不知道哈工大的人也是，所以缩写有效，但也不是覆盖全部人。文字各有特点，不必先入为主
