Late 2008 I gave my then boss a resignation letter. I wanted to try my luck down south. My boss said, “Young man, I am not accepting your letter, just go and do your thing. You can always come back.” My mind was made up, I didn’t want something to pull me back, so I gave him the letter anyway. SA was not easy. I couldn’t get a job in my line of work despite having a work permit. I ended up working in an Internet cafe, assisting customers with emails, printing and other stuff. I felt humiliated man. The GNU came in 2009, and the late Tsvangirai (MHSRIP) said tichafa nemari. I believed him, so I quit my Internet cafe job immediately and returned to Zim. Luckily for me, my Zim boss never submitted my resignation letter to HR. So, I just continued as if I never left. Everyone during those days was not going to work anyway. Unfortunately, handina kufa nemari sezvakataurwa. The suffering continued 😀
@freemufumiri@bla_bidza@KingMhare1 i always remember that every time i hear his name or see his pic. i used to buy the herald everyday to follow that story🤦🤦
@bla_bidza@KingMhare1 Do you remember his sex scandal of the late 1990s when he was forced to sign a $1M cheque by the husband of his side chick in his office on Samora Machel Ave? He had shortly moved to ARL from Anglo American.
Madhara away ane mabasa 😄😄😄
In Godfrey Gomwe Econet InfraCo has picked up a top notch chairman. And I am sure Invictus Energy would have been operational had they picked a guy like him.
@yvonnemangunda i enjoy your journalism my sister. you give us every detail even the smallest plus that show on Ola7 podcast is top notch especially the one with shingi Kawondera, togara & mutuma - you ask those questions we always have but not having the platform to ask👏👏👌

Testing your knowledge (and your age!)
Who was "Blandina Tadyanemhandu"?
What reportedly happened to "her" in Magunje?
And what happened to the American journalist who reported her "tragic fate"?
Also seriously?
How did that name not give it away?
Tadyanemhandu?
For real?
Fellow Njanjarians,
I am deeply saddened to learn of the untimely passing of Mr. Christopher Chitongo, the Housing and Planning Inspector at Chikomba Rural District Council. He tragically lost his life on Monday in a head-on collision along the quiet dust road between Sadza Growth Point and my village, Redhill.
Mr. Chitongo was on his motorbike heading towards Sadza when a kombi struck him just after “Pamumango”, Pakoré. That stretch of dirt road is badly corrugated, and I have seen kombi drivers speeding through, zigzagging to avoid the rough patches, with plumes of dust rising behind them and making visibility dangerously poor.
It’s so hard to believe. It was only in May, when I was home in Njanja, that I met Mr. Chitongo at his council office. We had gone there to confirm the size of our stand in the Old Township.
He was so patient and helpful,he took time to dig through piles of old, tattered diagrams until he found our stand. He even walked us there himself, re-measured, and confirmed everything was in order. That level of dedication is rare.
Mr. Chitongo was based in Chivhu and made the 56 km commute via Nharira and Daramombe to Sadza Growth Point every day.
Nematambudziko to the Chitongo family, his colleagues at Chikomba Rural District Council, his friends, and the entire Njanja community. 💔😭
May his humility, dedication, and service to the community be remembered always. @ChikombaRural
@MurapaG this is giving the "when i grow up and start working i want to buy the whole satchet of powdered milk for my self and hwira" vibe🤣🤣🤣 @TawandaMudavan3@ChiheraStacey
