Farm bankruptcies rose in 2025. Democrats are blaming Trump. Let's look at the facts. Chapter 12 farm bankruptcies increased 46% in 2025 to 315 cases. That's real pain for farmers. But the causes didn't start on January 20, 2025. During the Biden years, FARM DEBT LOADS BALLOONED. High input costs, low commodity prices, and years of economic pressure left many operations over-leveraged. Farmers borrowed heavily just to stay in business. Those debts didn't vanish when Trump took office. They came due under tougher conditions. Bankruptcies are often a lagging indicator - the result of problems built up over previous years. Trump's first term saw farm bankruptcies peak in 2019-2020 DUE TO TRADE WARS AND WEATHER. They then fell sharply under Biden to multi-year lows before rising again. The cycle is complex, not simple partisan blame. Farmers face real challenges: high costs, volatile prices, and debt. The solution isn't pointing fingers. It's pro-growth policies, trade deals that open markets, and reducing regulatory burden so farmers can thrive. Blaming the current president for a problem years in the making is politics, not solutions.

Had Spirit Airlines been allowed to merge with Jet Blue, it would have given them much more resiliency.   Thanks to @SenWarren, @PeteButtigieg, and all of their friends in the Biden Administration who backed their enthusiastic opposition to the Spirit-Jet Blue merger, dozens of regional airports will now lose service and thousands of jobs will now be lost.
