Here is a summary of how BJP fared across each district of West Bengal in 2026 as compared to 2021 1. There is NOT even one region where BJP has not significantly bettered its 2021 performance (or maintain its peak already achieved). 2. In every region, TMC has collapsed. 3. Regions considered hostile to or impenetrable by BJP have all been swept in the tsunami in of public support a) Hooghly: from 4 seats in 2021 to 16 (and TMC just 2) b) North 24 Parganas: From mere 5 to 22 c) South 24 Parganas: From 0 to 10 d) Kolkata: From 0 to 6 e) Howrah: From 0 to 7 f) Purba Bardhaman: From 0 to 14 Such comprehensive mandate across every region of the State is historic in every sense of the word.

Dravidian Insights@dstock_insights

I thought of giving a final closure to my fellow followers. After a long run, I'll be archiving this page. Loss is really personal..failed to convince people thats the hard truth. People simply wanted change. No GDP figures, no data points, it was largely driven not wanting to give majority to DMK. Not everyone, of course, but a significant number seem to carry that aversion. For many, it comes down to perception, local dissatisfaction with ministers, caste polarization, family politics and at times a feeling that issues weren't handled properly enough. I dont think any amount of data on economic growth, reduced crime or improvements in healthcare and education would have changed their perception. I've had a lovely 4yrs of sharing ❤️ Seeing visible growth in many sectors is what makes this loss even more emotional for me. Number of structural policy changes 🚶😭 Seeing Thalaivar, PTR, TRB, Anbil go down really hurts. This page was largely inspired by PTR. As someone with no direct affiliation with party, TRB Rajaa was responsive to feedback even with his demanding work. Thanks na 🙏 I personally know how rigid the system was in 2021 and how it has transformed especially in industries, transportation, education, finance and healthcare. At the same time, some areas remained difficult and needed serious attention (DIPR, Water Resources Dept, Recruitment, Police and a few more) TN Govt system is robust and will likely continue on autopilot for some time, but it ultimately depends on who runs it. We've seen how things went haywire after JJ passed away. Only time will tell 😔 Hope, new govt takes in the industrial policy as it is and doesn't lose the momentum 🚶 Finally, Thanks Nanbargale🙏 🖤❤️ #ForeverDMK

#KolathurVisit

Hey Shameless 👋
ANI@ANI

#WATCH | Kolkata: West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee says, "I will not resign, I did not lose, I will not go to Raj Bhavan...The question doesn't arise. No. Now, I also want to say that we didn't lose the election. It is their attempt to defeat us. Officially, through the Election Commission, they can defeat us, but morally we won the election."

Bhaipo is a coward. Tigers like Tapan Dada used to roar when they had no political backing & where the entire system was used to break them. They didn't so much as bend. Bhaipo loses the election & runs away with his tail tucked between his legs
Sensei Kraken Zero@YearOfTheKraken

BJP supporters are mocking the hell out of Bhaipo Abhishek Banerjee They reached his mansion in Bhabanipur to ask where is Bhaipo 😂😂😂

How CPM and their Muslim voters transferred 20k votes to the Muslim League to stop K Surendran from winning ! This is an eye-opener to Hindus of Kerala!! But I am sure that BJP will have bigger plans for him !

I hope the BJP’s Bengal victory creates space for a real right wing intellectual culture there, because Kolkata has something that other Indian cities simply do not: a living tradition of intellectual seriousness that goes far beyond exam-clearing and career-maxxing. I lived 5 formative years in that city. Mock it all you want for decay, strikes, nostalgia and communist "antel" energy, but its intellectual culture is still unmatched in the whole subcontinent. Random people in Kolkata will casually know more about French cinema, Bengali poetry, Russian Literature, obscure theatre, European philosophy, Marxist history, classical music, Satyajit Ray, Tagore, Kafka, and Latin American fiction than most self-styled public intellectuals elsewhere know about their own supposed areas of expertise. The tragedy is that this enormous cultural capital was captured almost entirely by the Left. That meant that for decades this brilliance was often spent defending decline, romanticising poverty, excusing stagnation, and converting economic failure into moral superiority. But the Indian right outside Bengal is not exactly a great intellectual alternative either. Too much of it is blunt, repetitive and brain dead. Hindu khatre mein hain. National versus anti-national. Ghuspetiye aa gaye. Opposition is giving revdi. Every critic is an urban naxal. Every problem is solved by louder slogans and slick social media graphics. But Bengal can do better than this. A Bengali right wing should not become a local franchise of Delhi WhatsApp politics. It should use Kolkata’s cultural depth to build something sharper, more imaginative and more serious. Less party apparatchik and more genuine cultural awakening. Less NPC slogan factory and more a politics that knows how to produce books, cinema, criticism and ideas. If this victory only creates more loudmouths with loudspeakers, it will be wasted. If it creates a right wing intellectual tradition with Bengali depth, aesthetic sense and historical seriousness, it could change Indian politics far beyond Bengal.
