The protests in Dublin, Cork and Galway may have been broken up overnight, but this movement is far from finished, with many protests still ongoing around the country today.

I have spoken to the protesters today. They are willing to allow 10 loads of fuel out of Whitegate today for emergency services. This could increase tomorrow if there are positive results from the talks today. The government must engage.

I arrived back in Dublin on a flight from Istanbul this morning and Garda (police) immigration officers were in the tunnel, immediately as we were getting off plane, asking to see passports. I have never seen that happen before. What’s going on?
