16,300 ppl who entered the State since 2020 without passports/ID raise serious questions. Where are they now? How many remain? Does the govt know where they're from? How many are on their 2nd, 3rd or 5th appeal? What has been done to repatriate them & prevent this happening again

The vast majority of these staff are from frontline roles. Aontú is calling on the Minister to publish a detailed assessment of the impact of staff turnover on child protection outcomes, waiting lists, caseloads and  frontline services. gript.ie/new-figures-sh…

We are one of the groups that was invited to speak at this event. Feile an Phobail's comments are a punch in the guts to the 20,000+ women and girls in the north of Ireland who play Gaelic football and camogie. Wanting female players to have fairness, safety, privacy and dignity in their sport is not anti-rights. Asking our governing bodies to ensure that all males, no matter how they identify, compete in the correct sex category so that female players can have fair and safe sport is not anti-rights. We note with deepening concern the level of abuse directed at women by those who pushed for this event to be cancelled. These are ordinary women, living in the very same communities as those seeking to strip them of their right to speak. This is not right.

"The response we received acknowledges that staffing shortages impact on Tusla's ability to engage meaningfully with children and families," Tóibín said, adding that the number of staff leaving Tusla had risen dramatically. gript.ie/new-figures-sh…

@Conor1960 No, Connor, that is incorrect. I made no mention of those groups. My tweet relates to Eoin's retweeting of @Toibin1 comments about the 16000 +ppl who've entered the state illegally, something @AontuIE raised 4 years ago.

@UnityakaAontu At least Eoin says “illegal immigration” you refer to all immigration. You are targeting immigrants here on work visas and people from the EU & UK here by right. People who work & pay taxes.

Immigration to Ireland is loose. It's not firm nor fair. It is not rules based. It's not sustainable. The govt must immediately recognise the importance of protecting our borders & apply the law consistently
Dr. Eoin Lenihan@EoinLenihan

An important reminder that Jim O’Callagjan isn’t there to “fix” the illegal immigration problem. He’s there to give the *impression* something’s changed. It hasn’t. Because FF/G have supported open borders for the past 25 years. They are open border parties. 🤷‍♂️

8 women have been killed in this state so far this year. It is a shocking increase in the rate of murders and a serious cause for concern. #aontú #feminine #murder

'Doesn’t it seem a little bizarre that doctors who differed from Nphet’s view are being pursued & punished when no-one is being called to account for the very many mistakes & false statements made by the public authorities during Covid?' Accountability should apply to everyone

Over 9,100 deportation orders have been issued in the last 6 yrs Only 434 people have been deported 1,677 left voluntarily That leaves more than 7,000 ppl whose deportation orders remain unresolved This system is as loose as that which allows 16000 ppl to land without a passport

We cannot allow incidents like this to become the norm. The stabbing of a woman during prayers at Tramore church in this morning is profoundly disturbing Churches should be places of peace, safety and sanctuary. May she recover well & quickly.

This government cannot persist in perpetuating a cycle of price hikes, prompting public demonstrations, only to implement temporary solutions. Such a policy is fundamentally unsustainable. #aontú #fuel #costofliving

IRISH GOVERNMENT BACKS STATUTORY ABORTION LEAVE The legislation will also grant paid leave to women who experience miscarriage before 23 weeks, who previously had no access to such provisions. Sandra Parda of the Life Institute objected to the government grouping abortion and miscarriage, calling it “inaccurate and dishonest” and “insulting to women”. thelifeinstitute.net/news/2026/iris…
