@jeromekurtiss @caulmick @Toibin1 Nobody is questioning wages. The issue is that families are paying deposits they may never get back, while dealing with queues, machine failures & extra hassle If recycling depends on households fronting the money & fighting to get it back, the system needs serious scrutiny

@UnityakaAontu @caulmick @Toibin1 Amazing. People who work got a salary. Astonishing. I thought they managed companies for free, myself. It's not "profit" though is it? The unredeemed deposits are locked away in company where it can only be used to fund the scheme, pay off loans, etc.

Return-Scheme Scandal @Toibin1 In 2024 the scheme made a €103M on un-redeemed deposits. The Taoiseach making sure everyone knows it was the former Green Party leader, Eamon Ryan who introduced the hated return scheme. #ReTurn #Binit

@UnityakaAontu @caulmick @Toibin1 Rejected bottles can be returned over the counter. As the glass bottles were. There's no reason for the machines to be filthy with empty bottles other than host locations being dirty already. Management don't take a profit. If you checked, you'd notice that it's a non-profit...

The government's Re-Turn scheme, that they said would clean towns and villages, is now insensitivising people to bin scavenge and throw the contents of bins all over the streets.

@jeromekurtiss @caulmick @Toibin1 We weren't queuing up at filthy machines to return glass bottles or wasting precious time at oft-broken/full machines where many bottles today are rejected. There is no comparison. This is a scam but a profitable one for management

@caulmick @Toibin1 So the scheme is working as intended. Those who refuse to return bottles to any number of machines nationally lose their deposit. Nobody tell Toibin about the time we had to return glass bottles to get your 5p back.

The absurdity of this has to be heard to be believed. Just listen to the woke politician tying herself up in knots trying to defend the indefensible. “Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.” Men cannot get pregnant. “Transwomen” are MEN! So embarrassing for Australia.
Anthony Khallouf@ausvstheagenda

Dr. Anna Cody, Australia's Sex Discrimination Commissioner just said: If a transgender woman (man) is denied a job because they said they intend to have children, then this is discrimination “on the basis on POTENTIAL pregnancy.” Oh my god.

‼️✅ MY MOTION - PASSED - Sulky Racing on Public Roads‼️ — It Has to Stop - Please Read & Share to Make Aware - I brought a motion to a Full Limerick City and County Council Meeting to write to the Minister for Justice demanding a legislative ban on sulky racing on public roads. 🔴And I want to be crystal clear about what that means — because I know some people will misread this. This is not about banning horses. This is not about targeting any community. This is not about harness racing at proper facilities. 👉This is about racing sulkies at speed on public roads — roads 🚸where your children walk to school 🚗where you drive to work 🚲where cyclists and pedestrians have every right to feel safe. A Garda inspector said it at a public inquest nearly a decade ago — "A sulky is not a vehicle that should be used on a public highway." The law has still not caught up. That is a disgrace. And the horses pay the price too. Earlier this year, Anne — a pregnant mare — was whipped and pushed for miles in an illegal sulky drive before being abandoned on a public road, still attached to her sulky. She died there. That is not sport. That is not culture. That is cruelty on a public road. The Minister for Justice needs to act. Limerick City and County Council is now formally calling on him to do so. Enough talk. Legislation. Now.

@griptmedia Aontú PQ found that over 630 Irish doctors were granted visas to work in Australia in 2025 alone. Nearly 7,000 Irish healthcare professionals (including doctors, nurses & allied health staff) are registered to work there This figure has surged by almost 70% in recent years.

Parents, beware. And start paying attention to what is being taught to your child. Your very young child.
Dr Niamh Regan@NiamhLanes

'Why is it important that consent is always asked for, not assumed?' That’s a question for third and fourth class in the consent resource in the new wellbeing toolkit. ⬇️ Would any of you like to take a stab at answering it yourselves @Education_Ire @DeptCDE @NCCAie @NormaFoleyTD1 @1Hildegarde? When thinking about it, keep parental rights and their violations in mind. When you can’t seem to take no for an answer yourselves, shouldn’t you reconsider whether you’re in any position to be teaching consent to anyone? It’s another abominable resource for young children, but I found that particular question comically ironic. #BíCineálta #SPHE #RSE #IrishEducation

Contrast that with this Tenant in Situ scheme where councils buy homes from landlords so families facing eviction can stay has been hugely cut in many counties this yr & last This scheme prevents homelessness before it happens & keeps families in their homes.

@LaCatholicState @CatholicArena @APRILMARY For adjustments, expansions, or restrictions of abortion access, the decisions now sit entirely with the elected politicians in the Dáil and Seanad, requiring standard legislative votes rather than a referendum. Sadly

On May 25th 2018, a relentlessly well funded international campaign led to a vote to REMOVE the right of a baby to be born alive The removal of the 8th Amendment was heralded as the beginning of a new Ireland by many quarters Since then, 60,000 abortions have occurred and over a hundred babies have been born alive and left to die after botched abortions As for the utopia of a new Ireland?Ownership of housing amongst young people has completely collapsed, the country has become one of the most cocaine addicted in the world and young people continue to emigrate in huge numbers to countries where it is easier to build a life and to buy a home

On this day 8 years ago the people of Ireland #RepealedThe8th. They rejected the cruel almost total constitutional ban on abortion by a landslide majority. Yet today, our restrictive abortion law enacted in 2018 remains a threat to women's health and human rights.

The government has outsourced key decision making on immigration to the EU. They have also done nothing interms of the largest movement of people into this state: from Britain to the north to the south. Aontú's policy of an Irish Sea Border would help massively on this point.
