Yesterday, Year 10 had a fantastic day at @OxfordPhysics taking part in hands-on activities and interactive sessions led by scientists. They also quizzed a careers panel from the local quantum industry. A valuable experience in this exciting field! ⚛️

Thank you to Udhay from OpSurg UK (opsurg.co.uk) for delivering a great session last Wednesday! It was a fantastic opportunity for our students who are interested and curious about careers in surgery, they walked away with a lot of new knowledge 👏

Our A Level students had an amazing time exploring the @NHM_London on Monday 17th November - a day full of discovery, inspiration and brilliant links to their Biology studies! 🌍✨

Our Geography Department took Year 8s on an exciting residential trip to Castleton in the Peak District from 12th-14th November. Students got the chance to dive into the practical side of Geography, connecting what they've learned in class to real world examples🌍✨

It’s assessment week in Food Tech and the Year 9s have absolutely nailed it with their golden, cheesy cheese straws! 🧀

Last month, the English department held a lunch to celebrate #BlackHistoryMonth. There was delicious Caribbean food, a treasure hunt, listened to stories from the Windrush generation, received free books by black authors and so much more. Everyone had a wonderful time!

This week the Year 12 biologists have completed another assessed practical, using a blue dye called DCPIP to measure the rate of photosynthesis in spinach leaf extracts!

Excited to share Fatima Bukhari’s beautiful Year 8 artwork for @NATREupdate's annual arts competition, inspired by the three Abrahamic faiths and showcasing deep philosophical thinking from our Religious Studies curriculum. We really hope Fatima wins! 👏

Abigail Speight talking about staff well-being surveys and how schools need to follow up on the results. “You said…we did…” Things that @BiddenhamIntSch do: * staff training is timetabled during the school day. Students arrive later on Tuesdays to accommodate this. * A PPA afternoon once a fortnight where staff can go offsite.

Last Friday, Year 10 Business students went to @KAKempston for a Business Dragons competition. They spent the day developing a new energy bar and then presented to over 100 people including a panel of judges. Biddenham came 5th out of 16 teams. Well done all! 👏

Year 7 students have been making Karah Prashad in RS this week. Karah prashad is served at the end of a Sikh worship service for the whole congregation to enjoy. It is a simple sweet dessert. Suffice to say, it went down very well with some of our students!

Thank you to @WestfieldSchl for hosting our multi-sport festival allowing over 420 Yr 5/6 pupils to participate. The @BiddenhamIntSch Sports Leaders did a fab job taking on the roles of umpires & coaches; being positive role models to the younger pupils & ensuring they had fun 👍

A sweet success! Year 9 Food Tech students whipped up golden churros from scratch using choux pastry—crisp, sugary and full of flair!

Well done to Zarah in Year 10 who successfully made custard from scratch to present this beatific custard tart!

Y13 Health and Social Care students had a fantastic time during their visit to @higginsbedford. They immersed themselves in Reminiscence Therapy to gain valuable insights that will greatly benefit their studies in psychology and health. Well done all! 👏
