“Marxists” become anarchists because they’re vibe-based pseuds so the leap is pretty small. Anarchists become Marxists because they’re poltically serious and end up reinventing Marxism in the aggregate to make anarchism functional, then just start actually studying Marxism.

Marxist-Leninists just want regime change. That isn’t revolutionary in the sense of creating a new society based on radically different relationships. It’s just putting a different flavour of rulers at the helm of the same machine.
