@GovPritzker Huh? Where does Illinois rank in taxation of its citizens? This is another self promoting move me to the national stage tweet.

Everything is just too damned expensive — that’s why now more than ever, we must work together to make life more affordable for Illinoisans. And that’s exactly what my agenda proposes we do. ksdk.com/video/news/loc…

@TrustTrost Also, what defines a “bad” coach, wins and losses? Poor communication, poor mentorship? Sometimes it’s circumstances that define success and failure. I always found it ironic to read a book on teamwork and doing it right from Coach K when he had the best players in the nation.

@TrustTrost I’m really trying very hard to understand this whole bad coach series thats circulating. There’s people who do it right and others that don’t. This includes coaches, athletes, administrators, parents and athletes. Why a series on just the coaches?

THIS is a must-read response by Scott, head baseball coach at Carmel. He’s spot on. Just outstanding. #MoreThanJUSTGames #IHSA

I don’t think the biggest issue is “a few bad coaches.” I think the bigger issue is good coaches leaving. The last couple years I have seen plenty of dedicated coaches leave. I don’t disagree that we have bad coaches. There are people that are bad at their jobs in every profession. Yes, a bad tescher or coach can be more detrimental to others since they work directly with kids. Most coaches are well-intentioned. I don’t think people take jobs to say I want to be bad at it. No one’s doing this for the money. But we’re seeing fewer applicants, and some programs are forced to hire people who simply haven’t had the chance to learn the sport deeply yet. So instead of just criticizing, we should ask: What systems are in place to support new coaches like we do for new teachers? I can argue we don’t support new teachers enough and student teaching should be a more in-depth process. Coaching has gotten harder with sports being more specialized. Parent expectations are higher and kids train at elite facilities with full-time experts Are you going to get that same level of expertise from a HS coach with a full-time job? Probably not. If we want better coaching, we need better support systems like mentorship, development and other coaches willing to share resources. I think there are some great facilities in baseball that could be the leaders in providing advice and guidance. I’ve seen some absolutely amazing trainers like @GudBaseball and @TorqueLab willing to talk to coaches and reach out to HS coaches. I’ve shared tryout plans, programs that I’ve spent countless hours coding with other coaches at other schools. Unfortunately, when I was a new coach many other coaches don’t reach out and help. They look at it as a competition. I guess I look at it differently. If I can help another coach that impacts kids, I will share and help. I don’t always see that happening when new coaches come into a conference or school.

@coachebrauer28 @tcgoldrush lol cmon. The scene inside the Rose Bowl is picturesque. Wanna talk old and run down, take a walk down Bourbon Street at 10am in the morning. The site will re-set your eyes forever. Literally the street has to be washed down from the filth of the night before

ESPN pushing the Rose Bowl is dumb. The venue is old. Parking sucks. Tailgating is on dirt. It's crappy. The only reason they love it looks pretty for a few minutes on TV. I was there and it was a let down. NOLA is an overall better experience.

@BuckeyeNatty Literally looks like they are using the corner kick poles as baseball equipment. Totally pointless for baseball development and zero purpose to any of the movements but yeah run around in circles for clicks and likes.

@epellefsen Maybe - but now the 2026 @NDFootball schedule got even softer and I didn’t think that was even possible. They’ve now run away from USC and Michigan. Opting for softer games. For a school that claims to be so great in football, I continue to be shocked by their scared schedules

If Alabama loses tonight at Oklahoma does the committee then make the playoffs a double elimination bracket?

As I’ve been saying from Day 1 it’s really simple. Both BYU and Bama should be in the playoffs despite both getting crushed today. You shouldn’t penalize teams for playing an extra championship game against stop 5 teams. You shouldn’t reward Miami and ND for not playing.

@BietermanCoach @DouglasTS They’re 10th currently. If they lose a close game to UGA, they’ll stay at 10. They do have a resume outside of a win over Auburn, you know that right?

@BietermanCoach @DouglasTS The committee already said they’re not punishing teams who play in their conference title game. You really think bama is going to get left out at 10-3 after a loss to UGA? Cmon son

@coachebrauer28 @epellefsen Here’s a question. In conference play why isn’t the number one tiebreaker after head to head, a team’s CFP ranking? Seems very dumb that Duke is in this position instead of Miami when they didn’t even play. Seems like the ACC could’ve been smarter.
