Americans largely oppose the war on Iran. But the war is very popular among Washington think tanks, who are flush with more than $44 million from weapons companies since 2019 and act as the war’s loudest cheerleaders across major media networks 🧵
A very senior political source outlined Israel's five objectives in this war: 1. To act jointly with the United States to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. 2. To permanently deny any future Iranian regime the ability to again close the strait—including through the development of alternative methods. 3. To dismantle Iran's weapons industry, with an emphasis on ballistic missile capabilities—this time targeting not just equipment but the factories that produce it. 4. To complete the destruction of Iran's nuclear program. 5. To create the conditions for regime change.

I favor regime change in Iran, but I'm deeply worried that inadequate preparation will prevent that goal from being achieved. There seem to be holes in the strategy, from the lack of coordination with the opposition, to the lapse in preparing the American people ahead of the attack. npr.org/2026/03/11/nx-…

So apparently Trump’s plans for military action on Iran have been complicated by Amb. Huckabee’s implied endorsement of Greater Israel

When I was in Minneapolis, I heard a number of crazy stories. But near the top of the list: A couple of off duty ICE and CBP officers were going to dinner in Minneapolis. They were doxed and their location revealed, and the restaurant was then mobbed. The officers were locked in the restaurant, and local police refused to respond to their pleas for help (as they've been directed by local authorities). Eventually, their fellow federal agents came to their aid. This is just a taste of what's happening in Minneapolis because state and local officials refuse to cooperate with immigration enforcement. They have created the chaos so they can have moments like yesterday, where someone tragically dies and politicians get to grandstand about the evils of enforcing the border. The solution is staring everyone in the face. I hope authorities in Minneapolis stop this madness.
