I genuinely don't know a soul who wants another General Election?!? Can we just get the government we voted for in a landslide only 2 years ago to get on with the job please?

@BBCPolitics We had one 2 years ago. The public overwhelming voted for a Labour Government 5 year term. We have a Labour Government. The public will be asked again in 2029. End of Story.

@hamezhill @BackIndeed I’m right wing because I can see that we can’t house everyone in this country, I’m right wing because the schools cannot fit everyone in their classrooms, I’m right wing because the NHS cannot cope with the sheer amount of people that needs treatment. Is that a thriving UK 🤔🤔

47yrs old “cockwomble”
Alan@BigAL1978

@BackIndeed What an absolute cockwomble who has completely missed the point of the original post. Not everyone catches a bus, so not everyone benefits from the capped bus fare. How about doing something that benefits EVERYONE! The VAT cut on energy bills is not good enough and also unfunded

@BackIndeed @hamezhill And we know why it’s costing £90b a yr and mass undocumented migration via small boat crossings. Consecutive gov have failed to implement Brexit because they have no backbone. If these gov grew a pair instead of being shit scared, we wouldn’t be in this situation FACT !!!

@hamezhill @BigAL1978 Al would vote Brexit all over again despite it costing £90b a year & causing mass undocumented migration via small boat crossings.

@BackIndeed I did vote for Brexit and if I had to do it all over again I would vote the same again. Since then BOTH Parties have kicked the can down the road instead of delivering Brexit. Cost us a lot diplomatically you say? Who cares, if carry on the way we are going there will no UK left

@BigAL1978 Ok so that’s £13b a year, obviously that would cost us a lot diplomatically but in theory ok. Rejoining the EU would be much more affective as that costs us £65m - £90m year in lost economic growth. Presumably you didn’t vote for Brexit?

@BackIndeed How would I like it funded ? Scrap Foreign Aid ASAP! It’s no secret that this country is on its arse so let’s rectify that by putting the UK first. The amount of money we send to other countries is mind boggling yet we struggle to house people especially our own veterans.

@BigAL1978 So the VAT cut on energy is simultaneously not enough and too much. Here’s an easier one, what would you like them to do and how would you like it funded?

@BackIndeed Explain to me why Burnham and his cronies are painting this like it’s a cost of living saviour when clearly it isn’t. Sooner or later they will realise that not every person in this country is too dumb to realise what is happening. Hopefully you will come to your senses soon🤔🤔

@BackIndeed You don’t need to be Einstein to know that the reported £850m cost for scrapping VAT on energy bills is giving in one hand but will be taking back in another. There is no £850m kitty available to fund this so please explain to me how this will benefit everyone

@jonmufc44 @BackIndeed Define “people like this” and think carefully how you answer it ! Are you happy that we have yet another unelected PM who has no mandate, not voted in by the general public etc who is going to deliver what he wants which is not in the manifesto that Labour used 2 yrs ago?

@BackIndeed @BigAL1978 One thing I saw predicted is people like this will simultaneously moan that every Burnham policy is unnfended and also that it doesn't go far enough.

@BackIndeed As for the capped bus fare idea, it was £2 before Rachel from accounts stuck her nose in. It didn’t result in less congestion, reduced journey time, less pollution, reduced fuel cost for other road users, cleaner air back then so what makes you think it will do that now

@BigAL1978 So to be clear Al, the government should’ve give a tax break, benefit or work on anything unless it benefits every single person in the country? Also more people using buses benefits a more people that the the user. Less congestion, reduced journey time, less pollution, reduced

Every time I watch this clip I laugh out loud and then shortly after the room goes cold and i can see frost on the inside of the windows. Barbie and bin bag shouldn’t be police officers. They should be doing something more fulfilling. Like pedicures.

@SophyRidgeSky @SophyRidgeSky Just watched the Heidi Alexander interview. Looks like Andys introduced a £2 cap without paying for it. I don't know the details isn't any answer, meaning it's not funded.

@AlexBallingerMP How can you fund something from savings of a cancelled Digital ID programme that by your own minister who ran the schemes admission that there was no actual budget for it therefore there is no money to be saved. So tell us how the £850m this tax cut is going to cost be paid for?

@DrRosena No it won’t. Stop chatting utter BS!! Cutting VAT will cost roughly £850m. Where do you think that money is going to come from ? I tell now it won’t be from the scrapped Digital ID scheme as there was never any money put aside for that in the first place. So I ask again WHERE ??
