@PFGMRx I think teams are aware of it and use it, along with a zillion other data sources, as a proxy for when guys might be available. Obviously no one is using it to build their board. And I think people keep conflating awareness with reliance.

@bigboardlab The thing about the CB, you get an idea of what your fans are going to be told by the media about your pick before you make it. I have conviction in Bryce Lance and thought he would be most likely drafted in the 60s. Most have favorites they believe might be "Sleepers;"some blink

I went into the Draft thinking that I was willing to Reach for My Need at LG, Pregnon. I'd seen him mocked as low as 22 and averaged 42. I just wanted him regardless. I KNOW if I hadn't, he would be available at 85. We're just GUESSING where any of the so-called Reaches would be

Hey look it’s basically the answer to the entire consensus board debate: - Teams are not reliant on it to build their boards or make their decisions. - Teams are aware of consensus info as they try to determine when to draft guys they’re convicted about. Seems easy to me.

Hey look it’s basically the answer to the entire consensus board debate:
- Teams are not reliant on it to build their boards or make their decisions.
- Teams are aware of consensus info as they try to determine when to draft guys they’re convicted about.

I think one logic error here is thinking that consensus boards know the precise location for each player.
Consensus boards are the best GLOBAL reflection of player locations in aggregate. The "teams liked him more" error is already baked into that!
