@BigBuckChappy Yeah, they over-performed largely thanks to Gibson. But even though they inevitably came back down to Earth, they had built up enough of a cushion thats folding the way they did is still inexcusable.

The Red Wings are still largely flawed, thats Yzerman’s fault. Despite that, they played themselves into a good spot, then choked. Thats the team’s fault. But also what the absolute fudge was this division/conference. All these things are true when looking for blame. #LGRW

@GrGriffinsNest He added a 35 and 38 year old ....Gave up a 1st and 2 players...They were giving up more goals then they were scoring....Stupid trades, especially the unprotected 1st.

@BigBuckChappy yes IMO these two 15 year olds should be allowed to play CCHL. As of now not allowed.

This year two 2011 DOB's played U16. Next year they could move to play outside of HEO. Should HEO ask Hockey Canada to allow 16 -year-olds to play in the CCHL. It could be a pilot project or same as major junior a "special exemption".

@lrdhive Ammo and Mazur need Waivers next season and I Think MBN and Danielson are gonna make really strong cases as well. Though I do think this one is largely GR preping to lose Gustafsson in the off-season.

Between this and the Dower-Nilsson signing. This looks to me that the Red Wings are preparing to graduate a bunch of guys from GR next season. Do be surprised if we see the likes of Kiiskinen come over next season as well.

Yes. Give him one more season, if it doesn't work out then you can consider a change. His draft picks are finally making the jump. You can finally determine his success after the season. The entire plan was to build through the draft after all. #LGRW

Yzerman traded up to draft Cossa FIVE YEARS AGO. He passed on Wallstedt who has a .914 save percentage for the team that beat us today. Cam Talbot is done. Shot. It’s ridiculous that Cossa wasn’t called up at some point in the last few weeks and starting a game like today.

Wings had the same faults all year. Struggle to score, don't get to the net front, bad starts, rely heavily on goal tending and their top players. When we were able to ride some hot streaks everyone looked the other way. Now that its not working "they don't want it enough"

@georgemalik The Wings need to get rid of guys like JVR, Appleton, Perron, Shine, Hanmonic, Talbot, Faulk, Chiarot and Kane.....They need to play the young guys and let the chips fall where they may.

FWIW what do I think that the Wings need in the offseason? --A big, preferably mean 2nd or 3rd pair defenseman; --A power forward-type forward with some grit to supplant Rasmussen; --A good 2A center. Hopefully some of those things can be filled organically. Or imported.
