@Azawajall @byzantinecopt Are you? Christians under Islamic rule experienced both periods of tolerance and periods of discrimination and persecution. The whole idea that the Copts lived in complete peace under Islamic rule is false. And no they don’t have more rights than Muslims that’s stupid

@BigD17994841 @byzantinecopt are you crazy? look into the history and you’ll see how much more comfortable christian’s were under muslim leadership, to this day christian’s in egypt literally have more rights then muslims as a muslim country btw.

@C2Antiquity You do realize these practices are separate from the Divine Liturgy, which are held in the morning.

For those who may have some difficulty following along. My critique of the Coptic church is not that they have scandal. It’s that their liturgical practice has become modernized. They adopt evangelical worship, and as displayed yesterday, in many cases, they’ve adopted dramatic charismatic style public deliverance practices. Which are televised weekly… These are not merely ‘scandals’ every church has scandal. This is cancer in the heart of their theological system, their spirituality, their worship.

@KaleefKarim @MakiTheSalafi The Bible never says ‘God owns the man, man owns the woman.’ It says husband and wife belong to each other and husbands are commanded to love sacrificially with understanding, not rule as owners Women. Headship in the Bible is responsibility, not ownership.

@BigD17994841 @MakiTheSalafi The husband is owned by God & the woman is owned by her husband Bible reiterates this many times. A man can by biblical law tell his woman to stop talking don’t speak & she is obligated to listen but a man is not obligated The husband serves Christ. The wife serves her husband

@KaleefKarim @MakiTheSalafi Let’s be honest and finish the verse shall we. 4. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does; likewise, the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. The chapter and verses address both the husband and wife.

@MakiTheSalafi My favourite verse about women in the New Testament I Corinthians 7:3-4 3 The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. 4 The WIFE DOES NOT HAVE authority over her own body but HER HUSBAND DOES. … Marital grape in The Bible,

@C2Antiquity No this is actually a very common thing. I went to this Coptic Oriental church in Arlington, Virginia, it resembled a mall, it’s also pretty famous, and they had a 2 hr long “homily” that was literally like any evangelical church with modern songs and instruments, and TVs, lasers

@awmanspider I don’t think people replying are getting the point. Cleve is suggesting that the actions(that are condemned) of a couple churches represent the entire copic church and the church has strayed from the trad liturgy. Which is false and what we are calling out.

@ZMDawah @InspiringPhilos No one is opposed to it, Aramaic Christian’s say Allaha because that’s their language, same as Arab Christian’s calling God Allah. Yes that’s how we’re supposed to call him, but would it matter if I called Him God, Allah, Theos, Dios, etc if they all mean the same thing?

@BigD17994841 @InspiringPhilos nobody said "bound", Christians just don't do it at all and in fact seem OPPOSED to it, despite believing it's literally how GOD exampled to humans how to call out to God. God last spoke to us in Arabic, and we have preserved texts in Arabic, so we indeed often do call Jesus Isa

@ZMDawah @InspiringPhilos Because allaha just means God it’s not His name, so we aren’t bound to say “God” by the exact language that Jesus spoke in, that’s kinda stupid. Same way Muslims and Christians don’t call Jesus/Isa by his name in Aramaic “yeshu”

@InspiringPhilos you're genuinely so stupid 😂😂😂 why would we use what Jesus or Moses or Abraham may have said when we believe Muhammad ﷺ is OUR example & we more reliably have his sayings over any other prophet? you believe Jesus is YOUR example, so why don't you say Allaha?

@0rthodoxJohn @InspiringPhilos "Elohai comes from the word El, god" Doesn't change the fact that "Elohai" is in the Bible. Yet Christians don't call God "Elohai" for some reason. "the ‘al’ at the start of your god’s name means ‘the’." Sure. And after "the" is "ilah" which is a cognate of "Eloh" or "Alaha".

Huge red flag 🚩🚩🚩 The young man identified himself as a Coptic Christian and an Arab. Coptic Christians do not identify as Arab. In fact, they despise the label. They are native Egyptians. Did they think we would not catch this nonsense?
Packers@IslamicPackers

Coptic Christian accepts Islam 🥺☝️ After speaking with @muslimorthodoxy, he embraced Islam and testified that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad ﷺ is His Messenger. Allahu Akbar!
